But it's not pay to win. More like pay to progress faster.
Uhhh.. you might want to check your sources/references on that buddy... Just saying.
Have heard Warframe thrown out there a lot during D1. Been hearing it more. Maybe it's time for me to take a plunge.

Key word: Heard. You have no experience with it yourself.
-
Yes exactly. That's how I meant that. Did I give a different impression?
-
No, I was simply making the point that your information is second hand, while OP's is first hand. Pay to win is subjective.
-
Oh! That! No, I was just pointing out that he basically described pay to win... while saying it's not. I thought it was funny. I admittedly have no idea how warfames play system works
-
There is a subtle difference between pay to win and pay for progress, not much but there is a difference.
-
Pay to win for non competitive games don't bother me. People can spend thier money and thier time how they want as long as it doesn't create an unfair situation that hurts others. *shrug*

It's fun, I've played it off and on for 6 months. Initially it's feels hard as hell to figure things out because there isn't really a guide. You kinda just jump in and start killing crap. The in-game chat is actually really helpful. The bot can answer questions like where is this BP found and that sort of thing, also the people on there are fairly helpful too. There are a couple odd ducks but they're still helpful. Then you have the occasional Destiny fanboy who just loves it so much they have to throw their salt around in that chat too but the bot is pretty good about kicking trash when needed and there is a recruitment tab where you can find people who need or want to help. They also have trading too. You can trade for the "exotic" or prime weapons and gear you find through the game or you can trade what you find for the "platinum" which is the in game currency you can purchase with real cash. It's a fairly neat system and the game overall isn't too bad for being free. They have a update coming soon where it'll have a patrol style areas. I've only seen bits about it but it should be coming out sometime this year, again it's free. The only real downside of the game is the amount of time it takes to craft your weapon, gear and Warframes. You start with X number of empty slots as you find stuff and build you lose those slots. If you want to find and use something else you either delete what you have or you buy slots with Platinum. I don't remember how much you start off with but that's what you use to buy extra slots from the in-game marketplace. TBH you only need two Warframes, Frost and Rhino and as far as the weapons are concerned you only need the Soma, your secondary, inuse a pistol and I use a double bladed staff or a scythe. You can also get a little helper that floats around you killing things and picking up your loot, I have the Carrier. If you check it out and play on XB shoot me a message, I'll help ya get a handle on things.

Wow thanks!

Warframe actually has very little in common with Destiny. Its more a combination of Diablo 3 and Borderlands 2....that you can play as THIRD person shooter. It's become a very good game----especialy considering its FTP. But it has very little in common with Destiny.

Edited by megatron1984: 8/8/2017 11:34:21 AMIt's a fun game if you know a few people that play it.

It's not bad, chief. For free, it never hurts to give it a whirl.
