Change How Exotics Are Obtained
Like really, depending on luck to get exotics from engrams is frustrating and out of fun.
I would suggest making certain objectives to unlock each exotic piece of armor or weapon.
e.g. Kill 20 Ogres to get "Red Death" or, get 100 Crucible precision kills to get "Ice Breaker".
That could be way more fun.

1 ReplySo you just want to obtain them easily?!! Like it isn't easy enough already . They need to get rid of three of coins and anything else that makes them easier to get, go back to a time when exotics were hard to come by!

I like a combination of rng and quests. That way everyone has a chance for something, but I do agree the more rare D2 exotics should require some real effort to obtain.

Quests are fun but they shouldn't be forced for every weapon. Better weapons will have longer quests.

On one hand, I do really like the hunt for exotics and the excitement of finding out what you got. Getting my first was amazing. Alpha Lupi. Was especially nice because back when I got it, we were punching WAY above our weight class in what we were attempting to do. On the other hand, the hunt for a specific piece can be immensely frustrating if it just won't show up. That's my situation with the Helm of Inmost Light, and to a lesser extent, the Universal Remote. I would gladly cut my chances of getting an Exotic in half if, when I did, it was guaranteed to be of a specific a slot. Not even a specific item, just that slot. Would make it less frequent to get the exotic, but when I did, increase the chance of it being something I wanted. I know the sequel is only a month away, but I'd still like to get those two items to play around with in Strikes.

No, it's fine as is. It's bad enough that most of them suck and are practically unusable.

1 ReplyNope. There needs a reason to grind Destiny and the main one was loot mainly exotics. Some exotics are quest related but most are for you to find by playing with crossed fingers. Oh. If you think it is bad now then you would not have survived year 1 with maybe 1 exotic drops a week.

I disagree, it really takes away the magic of getting an exotic. I remember when I got my first Last Word. It was the best moment of all my Destiny game time. If I had to simply say: kill 250 guardians with a hand cannon; it would not have been as magical as random drops
