Thoughts of Sony Denying cross platform play again with Minecraft?
With Sony denying this crap it's official Sony has no common sense at times I swear they say screw their player base and screws them over especially now PS4 & PS3 won't be getting anymore updates possibly since they won't be getting the Better together update

Who cares? 1.) It's just Minecraft 2.) Us PS users would have to create a Microsoft account just to play since Microsoft owns Minecraft, so you people really think that Sony would want people to make new Microsoft accounts instead of PSN??

60 RepliesDon't care. If you actually look into why Sony won't do crossplay it becomes pretty obvious. You have to create an Xbox live account and play through that. Don't have to pay for it, but Sony would essentially be giving Microsoft a couple million extra Xbox accounts. Also love how none of the Xbox players were upset when Xbox 360 was crushing ps3 and Sony wanted to do cross play and Xbox told them to go -blam!- themselves. Also love how people praise microsoft for pc crossplay while ignoring the fact that if you're on PC you're using Microsoft products and Microsoft owns Minecraft so of course they want more people to support it. Come on guys, you want to be upset that Sony won't allow crossplay, ok. But you've got to at least -blam!-ing acknowledge that Microsoft isn't doing it "for the gamers", and stop pretending like Sony just shits on gamers. Ps4 is killing Xbox one in large part because of how well Sony has treated it's gamers and how much they've done to get us good games. At least in the post ps3 world, because ps3 Sony was in fact a bunch of shitheads. And one day Shuhei is gonna let us change our names. Maybe... But damn it's not like they're EA.

4 RepliesI really don't care all that much. If I'm going to play minecraft, it's going to be on PC with other people playing on PC. Cross play with other versions of the game just isn't something I or most people I know will be using.

2 RepliesThe main reason I would like to see cross play would be to benefit games with a dwindling player base. Take Destiny for instance. Since the sequel is coming out I'm sure a lot of folks are going to jump on that. That being said, the ones who still play the first one will find it more difficult to get a group together for things like raids. It would help to pad the player pool with people from another console maker to aid in such things. This is my take on it.
