Too much grenades and supers in pvp, nerf it!
*D2 has slower cooldowns and less abilities..
Charge rate of abilities too slow, pump it the f up!
People never use their primary, only Icebreaker, no land and wormwood!
*D2 focused the game on more primairy gun gameplay...
I'm getting teamshot all the time by primairy guns, not fair, fix it!
People using supers are too hard to kill!
*D2 has less armor when using super...
I'm getting killed too fast using my super, give us more armor while using it!
Shotguns and snipers are OP and are used too much!
*First they change special ammo economy and in D2 they are power weapons...
I never get power ammo, give me back my easy OHK and fix it!
These are just a few examples of 'requests' coming from the community and Bungie tried to listen to them. But in a way, they can never ever satisfy this community. This beta is supposed to give Bungie constructive criticism and we are not giving them that because we are too busy cracking the game by telling them our personal preferences and our dislikes. People seem not willing to adept to these changes and just want the things that they like and not what could be the best for the whole game.
We have barely seen anything from D2, we aren't using the perks that will be available in D2 when it releases. Perks that upgrade our abilities such as faster cooldowns for our abilities. We are only using a fraction of the weapons and have no clue how the new weapons will feel and be like. Same thing with exotics, we don't know how they will be and benefit our Guardian.
So please, calm the f down and wait for the full release before you start to whine. It's like saying your job is too hard for you before even starting with it or you start to cry before the big bully even hits you. Let's just enjoy what we have and adept your playstyle instead of letting Bungie cater to your playstyle.
Just my 2 cents, peace out!
TLDR; Wait untill the full game is out before whining about the beta.
Edit: Some people say these are opinions and that is right, this is also an opinion. I would love to see a smooth D2 just like everybody else does, we can reach that with constructive criticism. I agree pvp changes affect pve too much for now, but maybe that can still change with the release. I also agree on splitting the 2 components and that changes do not always should affect pve and pvp. Pvp in my opinion is better now and pve needs some upgrades. Faster cooldowns and possibly more heavy drops. Hope this clears up some of my thoughts.
Edit 2: With the community, I mean the people who are always on a negative side of things and don't look further for solutions. The majority who has a positive vibe, are mostly the ones who don't express their opinions. That is why there is a lot of negativity on the forums and that sometimes bothers me. Hope this bring some understanding to my, little bit, harsh post.
Edit 3: Just came across a video of My name is Byf about pve. Found it interesting enough to share with you guys: https://youtu.be/Sy1kTzEusLM
Edit 4: Would love to reply to every single 1 of you, but don't have the time to do that. What I would like to see is a more positive forum to discuss the downsides of the game and that we can look to how make this game better. I have a feeling the downsides are pointed out to much with this game without looking at good alternatives. I love hoe pvp is now and would like to see slight changes in pve to make it more fun...not easier to play, it still hast to be a challenge to complete stuff!

Another guy who doesn't get how it works. The community as a whole has never agreed on anything, thus has never spoken. Some want nerfs, some want buffs, some want no change. Bungie decides by stats. They know what they metas are and will be. They create the metas. They rarely change because part of the community is whining. They have told us to speak with our actions. They follow what we do, not what we say.

Bump. Satisfaction? Not here.
-
Hahaha Fair call
-
Supers need adjusting period, they're to slow in both areas.
-
I'm really happy where the game is i mean I would say pve and our abilities needs some tweaks but overall the game has met my expectations
-
It's just that on these forums only the complaints are heard, not the "good job I like how this currently is"

This community really has no idea what it wants and though I think Bungie screwed a lot of people with the life cycle of the first game and how they treated their players, you almost feel bad for them because no matter what they do at least 50% of the players will whine and complain. This is one of the most entitled and toxic gaming communities out there besides LoL and Overwatch, though I will admit they do a lot for charities. It feels to me like they are moving Destiny more towards a Halo style game, as the slower movement and more reliance on gunplay feels a lot like the older Halo games and the switch in pvp to 4v4 with less supers and abilities feels the same. A lot of the pvp'ers now are whining because they've lost their ability spam and easy kill supers. Before even the kid with 0.30 k/d could be a champ and get an easy triple+ kill, but now you actually have to be able to headshot and have some skill to compete in crucible, which is another reason you see so many streamers/youtubers upset. Destiny has a much younger player base and they weren't around for the glory days of Bungie with Halo, which had excellent pvp w/o all these spammable one hit kill bs mechanics. It feels to me like Bungie is trying to return to that flavor of pvp, but the community so far doesn't understand it.

Edited by TNB719699: 7/23/2017 1:06:15 AMMy only problem is with abilities and supers on the PvE side, I think you should get about 1 super per game in PvP
Too much grenades and supers in pvp, nerf it!
People complained about the power of certain grenades and supers, but I don't recall frequency ever being an issue.

1 ReplyBeta testers are supposed to give the devs info both positive and negative. For the OP to say "wait for the final product" to complain, is ludicrous. The problem is that most of the info on these forums are negative.
-
Bungie doesn't know how to keep PvP and PvE separate in a game like this. You're hearing complaints from PvE and PvP players based off of the changes and nerfs caused by each other.
-
3 Replies1: nobody asked for grenades, melees, or supers to be less in abundance, people asked for them to not be as strong as they are (to not be ohks or bring you to absolute) which Bungie fixed, but no one asked for any of your abilities to be rare. 2:like 1, people complained about ohk secondaries being too abundant. This could have been fixed with a better solution rather than forcing specials and heavies into the same slot and without making them scarce for a match without saying screw you to your team mates. Not to also mention less gun diversity/ less options in pve due to this. 3: ive never seen anyone complain about a super being too hard to kill unless its in terms of super v super. 4: see 2 Point being: don't try to make peoples feedback of the game meaningless when there's reason behind it.

Edited by bFLY: 7/23/2017 12:30:34 AMLol this community has never made sense. No surprise they are carrying the silliness over to D2. People don't want to adapt, they want to kill as much as possible while dying as little as possible. Anything that impacts this they will whine and complain about. I personally prefer a PvP that focuses on gunskill/gunfights and less on ability spamming, grenades, and panic supers. So far d2 has given me that. Some things need to be tweaked of course, but this is a beta, I didn't expect anything close to perfection. I've been a part of dozens of betas over the decades, this one is just as unpolished as a beta should be. We give our feedback, and hope the final game is better. If its not, move on to other games, its that simple. Just make sure our feedback both makes sense, and is not contradictory. So far ive seen mostly incoherent tantrums and contradictory requests lol. Not surprised at all. YOU are entitled to your opinion, but if it doesn't make sense, be prepared for others to call you on your shit.

Too much truth has been spoken here.

1 ReplyI LOVE most of the changes, actually, except for less ammo drops in PVE and fewer abilities/supers in PVE and PVP. I could not be more happy about snipers and shotguns becoming power (heavy) weapons.

1 ReplyThis isn't just Destiny's forum community, it's 90% all forum communities.

Agree. Community as a whole quickly jumps to negative
-
1 ReplyCan't wait for Angry Joe's review when this game comes out

Nutcases in a Nutshell See you in Destiny 3 and 4...

Lmaooo, thank you. This exactly.
PlaceSaltHere\__/
Pvp ruined pve, enough said.
-
Destiny 1 PvP would be fine if they dropped the exotic special primary, ammo regen, and sidearm respawn gimmicks. I don't understand why they just didn't do that for Destiny 2 That would have been a very easy fix
-
4 RepliesPvP community in a nutshell, sure. But the PvE community has every right to complain about it. They never asked for any of that shit ... Actually quite the opposite.
-
Because all of the community has the same unified opinions about everything...
-
None of this addresses the hits PvE has taken because of PvP scrubs.
