This is the problem with our government monopoly on education no millenial has even witnessed capitalism and what it does. You think capitalism is the cause of our problems? We aren't a capitalist society anymore were a mixture of fascist corporatism and marxist socialism at this point the free market is dying off. So where's the reasoning besides indoctrination behind rejecting capitalism? Why would you reject private property and voluntary exchange? This is how freedom dies

7 RepliesAnd you got this statistic from where?
-
1 ReplyWell the good news is that we don't exactly have 50% advocating for socialism either. We reject crony capitalism in which several of the markets conspire against their consumers and shift the entire economy in their favor. That's what most of us are against.

7 RepliesI'm skeptical of this statistic, but here's the important bit: Allegiance to a term isn't very important. You don't need to be well-versed in Austrian economics or have read Adam Smith in order to participate in voluntary exchanges. Think of it like this. A lot of my acquaintances at college were "passive socialists." They voted for Democrats. They slapped Bernie stickers on their car. They moaned about the status quo and assumed that "democratic-socialism" wasn't actually more of the same, but was instead a revolutionary new idea that would change life for the better. In tandem with supporting an increase in state power (which is higher now than ever before in history, on a global scale), these same naive idiots would illegally buy (or even sell) marijuana, and sometimes even harder drugs. Point being, these people weren't ideological supporters of liberty, but they fell into the natural order without even realizing it. They made voluntary exchanges of privately-owned property. Other examples are even funnier. It takes a massive amount of ignorance for somebody to demand an increase in entitlements and the welfare state while also working under the table for cash, thereby dodging taxes in order to secure a higher income.

1 ReplySo it's the millennials fault right! They are so terrible at educating themselves! I was always so confused why my teachers were the same age as me...
-
1 ReplyCapitalism is not dying, people are just realizing we need to put in safety nets for capitalism to be effective.
-
4 Replies
no millenial has even witnessed capitalism and what it does.
Literally everyone who lives in this country and interacts with the economy in any way has witnessed capitalism.

We all adopt an heroism because we're screwed or we talk to them and change their minds.

11 RepliesBecause socialism offers more benefits to the students. Why would any student go against having a smaller student loan when he knows that the current one available will put him in debt all his life?
-
1 ReplySo when Mad Max pulls out a statistic with a source by the way it is immediately rejected as "Fake News" but we are just supposed to assume that your statistic is true without a source..... OP is fake news

Edited by Leprous Itch: 7/21/2017 9:08:40 PMNåzis were actually good people and they were framed for the extermination of the Jews. "A source is irrelevant to this discussion."
-
8 RepliesThat cuz when someone is fresh out of college with 100k debt they want others to handle their shit for them, hence most young people are liberal. Simple as that.

25 RepliesHere's the solution to all of our problems: we tell all those ungrateful millennial children to go live in Venezuela for a couple years and tell them to come back and give us their thoughts.

14 RepliesSource?

When they get out in the real world they will realize how wrong they have been all along. When they can't run into their safe spaces and watch videos of puppies playing and hear their own ideas when something triggers them.. They will learn.

I read it as "cannibalism" at first.

This is how freedom dies
Keynesian economics is for the simple minded, its not why I went into the field of economics. I enjoy economics of the unseen, the unseen of what men think they can design(hayek play on words). Thats why I love economics. Capitalism and free markets require this high level thinking something that is hard for yong Americans to understand, especially in todays society.

8 RepliesThis is why I've been advocating for the euthanization of all newborns for a while now. If we don't stop these devil millennials from spawning, we're soon to be overrun by these sickening communists.

4 RepliesEdited by JS5218: 7/20/2017 8:02:39 PMLet them think whatever they want. Life has a way of throwing reality in your face. Millennials like me are probably the most selfish people because they want to change the world immediately yet can't because they don't know how to do anything. They expect others to change for them. Millennials need true work experience to understand that capitalism is reality. Work hard and you might get what you are looking for. There are never guarantees. I am very selfish but I also realize that other people are as well. To get something you have to go get it, take it even.

2 RepliesYeah its really sad if you think about it. So many kids dont even know how screwed there getting.
