Don't forget to get 5000 Grimoire for D2
Just a reminder, as have only just done this my self, that one of the few achievements that follow over from D1 to D2 is having over 5000 grimoire score. Looked at mine the other day to realise I was on 4750, have been playing since year one and thought I'll be damned if I gonna go into D2 after all this time and not have that one under the belt. so went ghost hunting, and with thanks to destinytracker and all the lovely you tubers with there ghost hunting videos smashed it out in 2 days.
*Edit - Well this has been by far the biggest forum thread I have started, glad it has helped so many people, hope everyone is enjoying D2B

It's not simply a matter of walking around and picking up dead ghosts, a commonly stated, if not popular misconception. Here are many (but not all) ways of obtaining Grimoire points (GP): PvE kills Crucible kills as class Class kills in Crucible Story missions – up to 15 GP Strikes – up to 15 GP – Playlist Strikes may not be counted Raids – up to 15 GP Patrols – up to 15 GP Public Events – up to 15 GP Crucible wins – up to 15 GP Control wins – up to 20 GP Clash wins – up to 20 GP Rumble wins – up to 20 GP Skirmish wins – up to 20 GP Salvage wins – up to 20 GP Get enough kills with a weapon and you’ll earn up to 20 GP: Auto Rifles, Scout Rifles, Pulse Rifles, Handcannons Shotguns, Fusion Rifles, Sniper Rifles Rocket Launchers, Machine Guns Killing the various enemies. Up to 2500 each in some cases in order to obtain max Grimiore for killing a specific enemy. 6 RepliesMine is sitting comfortably and will retire at 3990. I've done VOG once (when it first came out) and no other raids and I'm not planning on completing any of them now. Nor will I be going on any scavenger hunts for ghosts, siva clusters or calcified fragments.

It's meaningless to me. I've done everything in the game that's important and am at 4770. There's no reason to look for ghosts just to say I reached 5000.
