6 RepliesEdited by FairlySplendid: 7/2/2017 6:47:30 AMA get that this is just a satirical post. But for anyone curious:
No sunsinger
The new solar warlock class looks better on all fronts. Except of course for the people that leaned too heavily on self-res. Who can be pissed over gaining a built in Solar Bolt Caster + Twilight Garrison.
No good rolls
Anyone who thinks this is completely misunderstanding what the change to the weapon perks mechanics means. It means that you no longer have to deal with RNG -blam!-ing you over with a bad perk roll when that weapon you've been chasing after finally drops.
No machine guns
They got rid of this weapon class because it overlaps too much with ARs and the newly added SMG archetypes.
No special weapons
The changes to weapon slots in D2 can't be looked at from the perspective of how weapons and the sandbox worked in D1. Everything in D2 is tuned around this change. Encounters, ammo economy, DPS etc. It's all being re-tuned with these changes in mind.

No self-rez No YouTuber rolls Machine guns being replaced by SMGs OHK weapons moved to Power Slot and Sidearms can be Kinetic or Energy It all comes down to the beta to convince me to buy this game now (but not really because I need crutches and bandwagon mentality to enjoy a game waaaah)
Fixed for clarity.
No good rolls
?
No special weapons
???
-
So basically you want D1, got it.

1 ReplyHalf the players will enjoy D2 and play it for thousands of hours. The other half will hate it and play it for thousands of hours.

I want all the things in destiny 1 in destiny 2. I don't care that it is a different game. I want the game to be exactly the same! It all comes down to the beta to convince me to buy this game now
Fixed post

1. I too will miss slinging fusion grenades around the map 2. Static perks on weapons is great! It'll make weapon balancing easier; therefore, balance patches are able to be rolled out at a significantly quicker pace 3. I love my LMGs, but there are plenty of good options left. Grenade launcher hype! 4. The new weapon system makes for a much easier to balance PVP, as all OHK weapons now require Power ammo, and there are at most two sets of Power ammo available at any given time. This is an improvement

Gunna enjoy the hell out of Dawnblade before it gets nerfed after the Beta.

1 ReplyEdited by moobz: 7/3/2017 2:49:22 PMWhen i see posts like these, i feel like Bungie should take copies of Destiny 1 and just rebrand it as Destiny 2 and sell it to you. Bunch of whiners are expecting to see Destiny 1 content in Destiny 2. I just want a fresh damn game, even if it means moving the cructhes that are snipers and shotguns to heavy slots. I want a primary weapon gameplay after 3 years, i'm just done of seeing my gameplay restricted by "meta" eras! Your cheesy self-res is gone? Boohoo! cry me a damn river. Why should warlocks and titan always just be so much tougher than our good ol' hunters? Sticky nades are no longer going to be used as primaries (woohoo!!!!). Just like everyone i have not yet experienced any of the game's new features. But one thing is for sure, at a glance a few obvious tweaks that are necessary, but Destiny 2 has so far showed a lot more balance, which is what a lot of people seem to be salty about. Edit Something just came to my attention
It all comes down to the beta to convince me to buy this game now
Obviously, you are talking about people's review opinion and review seeing that you haven't yet pre-ordered/bought it.......or you are one of those people that are going to pre-order, use the code given to use the beta to play and be crappy enough to cancel the order afterwards. For those that are using the beta with such intentions, i hope Bungie/PSN/Xbox or whoever you bought it from prevent you from cancel once the beta starts!

2 RepliesI'm curious about how they're just going to throw out 3 years of lore and be like there is no such thing as self res warlocks or bubble titans. That Kabr guy, he never existed, we made him up.
-
26 RepliesThat's it. I've -blam!-ING had it. HOW ABOUT YOU ALL PLAY THE BETA FIRST? THEN YOU CAN BITCH!
-
Games been massacred because of bungies stupidity to not separate pvp from pve.
-
Yet you'll still be buying it.
-
Opinion
-
Yeah agreed
-
Why would you judge the entirety of the game off the Beta when you already know what is going to be in it? Seriously, we won't know how anything truly turns out until the release so you are better off just waiting for reviews or renting/borrowing it from others.

Disappointment 2 the sequel.

6 RepliesDestiny 2 looks awesome. I can't wait until the Beta. Long live Destiny

No sunsinger
But we get a big ass sword
No good rolls
No bad ones either. As a side note, I'm hoping that this means that either the amount or the rarity of legendary weapons has increased, and I'm fine with either or both.
No machine guns
But we get grenade launchers, SMGs, and linear fusion rifles. Me personally, I've been wanting a grenade launcher for a REALLY long time.
No special weapons
This might be an unpopular opinion, but I kinda like this change. I started off shooters by playing Halo, so the two primary thing was kinda the norm. Power weapons such as snipers, shotguns, or rockets were a rare and sought after commodity, and I feel it just put a sense of order into the game that Destiny never had. There were less chances to just suddenly die without being able to really fight back. Destiny's special ammo situation always confused me. What was the point of using a weapon with a slow time to kill when instant kill weapons were in such abundance? Love the change for PvP. As for PvE... still not completely decided. High health enemies will be harder to take care of, but hopefully that means we see less things like Reaver Captains and instead we get smarter AI. That's probably a long shot but I can dream. Bosses are obviously going to be balanced around not having a high amount of burst damage at the ready, which hopefully opens up new mechanics. I'm not too concerned about how it's going to impact play against bosses. I'm excited for combat against regular enemies. Primaries were what we took out the trash mobs with most, so to me that means less downtime and more shooting. Still undecided about the whole situation though.

No machine guns? Wow, they just took it one step too far. This game is going to be even more barebones than vanilla Destiny was.
