I hope the looks of things, gear, weapons, etc doesn't eventually graduate to resemble Halo. Destiny has its own look and feel and that is why I like it.

5 RepliesDont worry, halo will always run at a higher frame rate with far less lag, separating the two experiences completely.
-
I like halo and destiny Destiny should be destiny Halo should be halo
-
1 ReplyThey're already trying really hard to make it into halo and it saddens me.
-
2 RepliesI hope the PvP plays like the older halos. The campaign and PvE side should remain like that of D1, but the PvP side needs to evolve into competitive multiplayer like h2/h3.
-
Nah, Destiny can never be like halo.
-
It might actually make it more successful if it resembled Halo. A throwback to Bungie's original accomplishment. But they've moved on, and Halo isn't their game anymore. It's best they stick to their own thing now.

5 RepliesI'm not really noticing it's looks resembling halo. I guess you could argue the warlocks and titans can at times but that's about it, the aesthetics as a whole are very different though. What I don't mind is them trying to borrow a bit from the OG (cause new halo sucks) halo gameplay cause it would fix a lot of my issues with the crucible. The 4v4 format is perfect for the standard modes, however I hope they at least keep a FFA and 6v6 for those that want it cause I think 4v4 being in every mode will actually hurt the game. I'm also digging the changes to making special weapons "special" and not given away like candy where 90% of the players relied on it(seriously, take away those shotguns and snipers and you'll see a lot less kills and people being brought down to more even terms) Going to standard weapons will slow the pace down and add more skill to the game. I also don't know if anyone noticed but they're also tweaking the radar to be a little less effective in range which makes flanking and other strategies more viable. In short: destiny is far from halo but it could incorporate some of its elements to be a better game, and I'd even argue it'd be better at being halo than the current halo actually does. (I don't like 343s halo, can't stand them continuously putting abilities in the game and making unnecessary changes to its core modes, or flat out not even carrying over game modes lol).

1 ReplyDidn't halo have dedicated servers? If so then destiny will never be like halo.....ever, plus halo has a storyline unlike destiny's constant rehash of story lines.

Edited by ClovenTrack620: 5/22/2017 4:21:30 PMthats exactly what i thought when i first saw the new weapons, specially the sights and the way auto rifle projectiles look when they fire, i was like oh MY !!!G🤤D!! its freaking HALO all over again. Also the scenery on Nessus with all the waterfalls and vegetation which look beautiful of course, but in my eyes it resembles the HALO landscape way 2 much, even the way players move looks kind of robotic & awkward. Armor is the only thing that looks beautiful and destiny like by far. Im going to buy the game anyways, but i know for a fact i wont be investing as much time in it as i've done with D1 just cause these type of cartoonish graphics drive me nuts for some reason, in fact graphics is one of my favorite attributes in destiny and D2 just looks really weird😨 in that aspect

It would be awful I'm we got a memorable story, multiplayer pvp, custom games, forge, theater like Halo. Lol
-
Is it because a new emphasis on gunskill over movement? I been seeing a lot of post talking about that. Like it's a bad thing..
-
I wouldn't be against it. The Halo series is the only reason my wife preordered Destiny 1 for me. While I'm not after more of the same. There was so much right with that series as a whole. So much, that I'm thinking about finally getting Halo 5 (didn't like the way it was released).

6 Repliesd2 looks like overwatch

5 RepliesThe main thing that I feel is gravitating towards a Halo vibe is the slower PvP gameplay that Bungie is trying to push. It worked in Halo, but I don't think it fits in Destiny, a game where the abilities and jumps are so fast-paced that a slower gunplay meta feels out of place. So I felt a bit disappointed seeing all the guns and melees are weaker than in D1.

10 RepliesHalo was their game I ain't complaining Halo was good back it the day UNTIL 343 -blam!-ED IT UP
-
3 RepliesStory wise I would pay a fair amount of money for Destiny become Halo, period.

2 RepliesOne of my best friends played Halo like it was a job. He used to do tournament's for extra cash and swag etc. Anyways this guy knows Halo, lived and breathed Halo, so trust his opinion on this. I asked him after the reveal if Destiny is turning into Halo and he says " Hey, when we were 17 I -blam!-ed your mom." Nothing to do with the game, it just hurt. Thanks for reading.

1 ReplyJust felt like putting this out there. Halo doesn't look like halo anymore
-
3 RepliesEdited by Mayhem420: 5/21/2017 6:00:01 PMIt does appear that its Combat is Evolving into another Halo. I dont think its exactly a Reach to say otherwise.
-
Hope it does, current Halo is schit.
-
I don't think that's likely on the PVE side. Unfortunately, that seems to be what Bungie wants on the PVP side.
-
34 RepliesSadly it looks that way. Halo is shit now. What made destiny great was being different. If they lose the uniqueness that made them special, they will lose the community soon after.
-
When you fail time and time again sometimes you just go back to what you were good at
-
I would not hate a campaign that played like halo. There is no real sense of achievement in beating the campaign in d1 the only difficulty was just the light level of enemies.
-
15 RepliesEdited by Warlock: 5/21/2017 2:39:33 PMD2 is already becoming more like Halo now that snipers and shotguns are power weapons. Hell, they were called power weapons in Halo to begin with. The weapons they're adding, alongside the existing ones, are pretty much directly from their Halo games as well Assault rifle - auto rifle Battle rifle - pulse rifle DMR - scout rifle SMG - SMG Spartan laser - fusion rifle Shotgun - shotgun Sniper - sniper Magnum - sidearm Machine gun - machine gun Rocket launcher - rocket launcher Grenade launcher - grenade launcher Sword - sword The newest thing you could add to This list is hand canons. Everything else controls similarly or exactly like they did in the Bungie Halo games. This isn't a bad thing, I think it'll be good for D2
