Especially when your company grossed 6 BILLION alone last year.
Face it. We're in for the same connection shit storm that plagued both pvp and pve. But hey atleast we have in game match making and treasure hunts!
Edit: Trending, yay
Edit: Still trending. Coz baby let's get pizza
Edit: can y'all please start using some logic for your argument? It's 2017 there's literally no excuse for your stupidity anymore.

2 RepliesEdited by Kreis: 5/20/2017 6:02:17 PMThey didn't feel it was worth it to make the investment. There is an excuse, your opinion just feels that that excuse isn't good enough. Also- secondly.. Will you still play it regardless? Yes. Yes you will. Then is it worth it to waste money on servers when you'll play regardless of their quality? No. It's not.

Is there a way for bumgie to integrate a dedicated server system after D2 launches. Or is that not an option.
-
4 RepliesPlay a different game then

6 RepliesI wonder how many people complain about lag but have bad internet 🤔
-
Sure there is: lazy and uninterested.
-
2 RepliesWhat's Bungie's argument/excuse for not incorporating dedicated servers?
-
It's upsetting but I think it would still lag anyway. Cause. Ya know. Just Destiny things.
-
Alright I'm not a tech guy but what if they are expecting to large of a player base for dedicated servers? Are there any other online only console games, with dedicated servers, with the large player base destiny 2 is going to have??? Halo 5 has dedicated servers but it's not online only and doesn't have as many players. Cod is the same and has the same amount of players year after year most likely. Maybe they just don't think dedicated servers would handle the player base or would cost to much for enough servers for the players they are expecting to have. Who knows? Someone educate me
-
Mind boggling stuff.
-
Meh, there would be lag either way. I can live with it. I upgraded my Internet last November and I've been basically lag free ever since. I'll be fine. I don't take destiny pvp seriously enough to care. If it's bad, I simply won't play it. It seems like pve is going to be a bigger focus so I'm happy.
-
It's truly pathetic lol. And soo many retards get butthurt when you bring it up. Truly remarkable.
-
Gross revenue doesn't mean a damned thing.
-
2 RepliesYeah it seems that their way to improve matchmaking and lag was to just make the teams smaller. Also it feels like most development time was spent on pve and not so much on pvp.
-
4 RepliesIf they change their algorithm to be connection based first. Then dedicated servers would be a complete waste for 8 ppl.
-
1 ReplyWell, that's because Bungie... https://youtu.be/GXE_n2q08Yw So, for me, I just feel like... https://youtu.be/iqR4CZj0mJQ

Agreed
-
Where the hell did you hear 6 bill? And there is an excuse.

...We didn't want em~Luke

-
Apparently there is because Bungie did it ;)
-
1 ReplyIt's okay to cry about that topic because things like Dedicated Servers, 60FPS and a 60/60Hz Tickrate should be industry standard in any half decent PvP mode by now. Alao a separation of PvE/PvP is needed to keep the game healthy. But is it really okay to defend the decisions Bunglevision made? What is wrong with those people? If you don't care about PvP, ignore these threads goddamnit.
-
3 RepliesMy connection was stable for pve and pvp. Plus I don't do much pvp in general. I just want a good story, fun exploration, new abilities and weapons to play around with. Seems like that is getting delivered well so Bungie has gained my money.
-
1 ReplyAccording to Twitter Bungie's updated engine is poorly optimized. I guess those who know their shit are saying console is locked at 30 due to that reason. Something about the engine rendering poorly. They said the Pro could easily handle 60 on a well optimized engine. Add that to the list of failures.
-
1 ReplyYes, I agree with this. I was totally sure this was going to be a thing.
-
2 RepliesEven the dude at the conference asked and the silence after was so ridiculous. Like saying "we can't answer that because we don't want to"
-
From what I've been reading across the net, dedicated servers wouldn't help because the netcode is so bad.
-
If they grossed 6 billion, how much was profit after taking into account the development costs of D1 and D2?
-
39 Repliesno one will take Destiny pvp seriously unless dedicated servers are implemented.
