Clans for Raiding
So, looks like Bungie have put some effort into an in-game system to get raid teams together. A good thing of course.
But everything in that stream talked about "letting everyone try the end-game content" and an example given was 5 friends with raid experience taking someone who has never raided with them.
Cool right?
My problem here is not with letting everyone try the raids, I believe eveyone should. Those first couple of experiences in a new raid are awesome!
But to me after that the raids are about mastering each encounter and reaping the rewards. Sure I've taking tons of noobs through, helped a guy complete Crota's End with his 9yo daughter last week, but most of the time I just want to get it done.
Just like most of the players who LFG raids. Sure some go a bit OTT with their requirements, but thats because they've already wasted hundreds of hours with noobs, liars, squeakers and the 'skillfully deficient'. They've paid their tax of frustration.
Maybe you guys feel different, the clan inclusion and emphasis of end-game group finding is very positive and I applaude it.
But if I'm honest, if I even buy Destiny 2 I've a feeling I'll still be hitting the recruitment forums.

View friends list first then if I can't get enough I go to lfg. This in game thing sounds just like xbox lfg groups - something no one really uses to great success from my experience

My only downside to this, the 5 look for a random, then the random gets kicked because 6th member is back even if the random is holding thier own

6 RepliesYou start up a Clan game. You and a friend are the only two and 4 Random's join. If they don't cut it kick em is my guess. That's how I plan on doing it. I'm guessing the Clan aka Ghetto LFG machine are going to be to help others simply match make and "reduce" the need for Recruitment forms, LFG, Xbox Game finder.

2 Repliesthey did say it was something you enable so just host a game and disable the option? I'll be using this for stuff like nightfall (if not much changes with how that works) I can see people using this like a reverse LFG, instead of going out and finding people they wait for people to find them and once they join they are interroga- i mean asked about their raid experience and if the host thinks it isn't good enough then they will be kicked.
