Can you switch swords mid-quest?

Started a quest with Sol edge, I'm in the middle of the first step(kill 25 guardians,50 majors). So if I start using my void edge now would I get raze lighter or dark drinker?

No But if you completed the exotic quest you can get it again by buying other legendary sword and you will skip the half quest this time
