Honestly, -blam!- that strike. You literally couldn't make a worse boss room if you tried.

11 RepliesI freaking hate the Malok strike its so boring

28 RepliesYou have not experienced pain until you've been through Omnigul with Lightswitch and Arc Burn.
The mere thought of it haunts Year 1 veterans...
I don't understand why people have such issues with it . Kill those shanks ,1 person keep the ogre off and the other two handle dps . It's rather easy .

1 ReplyIts a poorly designed strike. Its an effort to recreate The Shield Brother's strike, without really understanding what it is that makes that strike work.....and keeps it reasonable and fair. The Two Bosses in the Shield Bros. strike have GLARING weakness that you can exploit in the absence of Cover. The first one, only has a melee attack.....so you can find safety and advantage by keeping your distance. The Other one only has a long ranged , mortar attack.....so youcant find safety and advantage by getting in close. So the challenge is working these distances....and eliminating the adds. Which are only a real threat if you lose situational awareness....or lose control of the fight. That strike thouw with the Splicer Priest and the Ogre is just an unfair, hot mess. You fighting in a closed room....with NO real effective cover. You've got a boss that has a ranged attack that can hit you from any range.....and you have this INDESTRUCTIBLE (!!!!) Ogre running around chasing you out from behind what minimal cover there is. THEN you have adds attacking from the ground AND shanks attacking you from the air. That invariably get a free shot on you before you realize that they've spawn. Which is a REAL threat if there's Arc Burn in play. IOW, The fight quickly becomes unmanageable if you have a weak member of the team. Either someone who keeps dying.....or someone who doesn't know that the fight is designed so that one person has to kite the Ogre around, while the other two DPS the boss and clear the adds. An interesting RAID boss fight....but a really shitty strike boss. Especially one where you are usually having to play with people whom youcan't talk to. I'm not surprised that people don't want to deal with it....or will leave the boss fight if they have a dysfunctional strike team.

9 RepliesHonestly, once you've played Destiny long enough, you get used to Strikes being intense as hell. I remember hating the Psion Flayers so much, but now it is so easy because everyone knows the strategy for it. Wait until spawn Obliterate Arc Flayer first Trap and kill Void Flayer next Clear adds Gangbang Sol Flayer ??? Profit.
-
Yep. Especially with Arc burn. Cannot be bothered.
-
7 RepliesI actually like it. Other than nothing can be done to the ogre. At least let me stun it with smokes or flashbangs.
-
2 RepliesSurprised no ninjas have gotten triggered over a name appearing
-
3 RepliesArc burn Saber with the fallen, worst shit ever. Just the Warsat part though, because nothing says I love you like drop ships that one shot your whole team.
-
26 RepliesHey OP, why don't you put your money where your fingers are and tell us what strike you would design? Typical internet children, complaining about something without offering up solutions or explaining what they would make. Losers. Criticizing developers yet can't even develop games themselves. Trash. 🐸🍵

5 Repliesthat unkillable ogre was just a dumb idea. it should of had raid boss level heath. not immune... one awesome idea i heard would be if or when the platform things fall in the boss room they can make a destructible wall in a semi randomized place. then imo its be the coolest strike.
-
3 RepliesAgreed, the boss room is poorly designed. Same goes for the Shield Brothers.
-
9 RepliesI leave that strike every time. It's like the Shield Brothers. Bungie- Let's make giant rooms with no cover and put 2 bosses in it. Then let's make it so 1 boss will melt you from afar and the other goes in for the melee. Also, make millions of ads spawn but above the player that can shoot while falling and can shoot them behind the little cover we have in there. And to top it off, let's make their crit box as small as a Splicer Vandal. Everyone got that? Bungie Level Design- Yep we got it. Destiny Players- ...the fack...
-
lol what? Nothing wrong with the boss room.
-
I agree. It's the only strike that I've actually wiped more than once..
-
Nice try. It takes 30 seconds to leave and dismantle things.
-
1 ReplyDid we fight the same valus t'uaric?
-
You couldn't Mack a worse boss room if you tried? Ha please. Kovik's Monster.
-
I can make it work.
-
I do the first bit if I need primary/special/heavy rampage medals because it's so easy to get there especially with necrochasm.
-
Especially on arc burn omg like literally almost impossible & my favorite strike in destiny for me is the sunless cell strike.
-
Some creatures of the Hive do not strain against the will of Oryx. Alan-Tul, the Dark Blade, is one such.
-
That ogre has it out for me it instantly targets onto me and stays targeted on me
-
Blam this strike when is arc or void; and "shield brothers" on solar, I am not wasting my time in frustration over such a poor design from bungo...
-
Remember when we all used to leave the Cerberus Vae strike cause it was the most boring piece of shit ever? And then Bungie tried to tell us that we didn't like it cause we couldn't kill Valus?

What I hate is when he spawns exactly where you are. You might as well just close your eyes and let his Oversized microphone take you away into guardian heaven.
