Alright, this is pretty bullshit. Using K&M on a console doesnt give you an advantage at all. It just improves certain gaming characteristics and fails on other factors. 1. Senstivity... Yes, KnM destroy controllers, but only on PC. And thats due to mouse acceleration. A feature that doesnt occur on console. If you ever plug a controller into a pc and play (For example) COD. Trying to aim with that controller is so different from what it would be on console. Thats because every games input systems change between the two. PC and Console have their two own input calculations. And its like many people bring up, you have turning speed which is capped on console because of the lack of mouse acceleration.... 2. Aim Assist... Alright, so we all know the lethal aim assist systems in console games. Whether thats target acquisition or target tracking (Difference between pressing aim, and following the target with the joystick) When you play a game with KnM and aim assist exists. I guarantee you that you wont be able to snap on a target for shit, and thats because you have natural instinct to snap towards a target with the mouse. This just doesnt occur with a joystick. Hence why AA is a thing on console.... Even more annoyingly is that most console games dont let you turn multiplayer AA off... Which means youre probably going to be screwing yourself up alot with target acquisition... If you can target snap with mouse on Console mechanics... Kudos to you... 3. Motion... This is seen best in car racing games. So im going to be using them as an example (Mind you, people with hair triggered controllers experience this with sparrows so....) On a controller, you have about 4-5 mm of input space on all sides. Take into account the circular expansion and that becomes about 30 odd mm of input space from side to side. Point is, you push that stick 1mm, and you creep along. Push it all the way, and you run along. On a keyboard, keys arent pressure sensitive (And neither was that x button on the ps2...... (GT fanatics will know what i mean)Meaning if you push the key, there is only two possibilities. No input, or full input.... Meaning youre not moving at all, or your -blam!-ing sprinting. (Games like RB6 siege, this becomes apparent) 4. So to use KnM on console means you lose out on all above, and the only advantage you get, is slight increase in accuracy and recoil control (Depending on your game) ONCE youre used to the console mechanic and hotkeys. The reason i love keyboard so much more, is the option to have so many more options. And control it all with one hand. But the most that helps in destiny, is a titan skate here. A few jumps there. Otherwise even hotkeys arent useful in many games. The last point have to make on the argument. Is the amount of people that dont have the money to buy themselves beefy pc's, or the amount of games that pc just doesnt get, that they still wish to play. I have a mate who loves destiny, but no lifes on pc 100% of the time. So playing on console with a controller, hes at a disadvantage. For him, getting KnM would even the odds. Srsly... Considering the devices available now, including the fact that both sony and microsoft officially licence modded controllers now (Or in microsofts case, makes them) KnM isnt really that big of a deal....Oh and the fact that Sony has their own adapter, and Microsoft funds particular groups. Suggests that its something they're happy for their player base to do. And Bungie knows this, and more often then not, they're sandboxes are played with KnM's.... Just consider all this before complaining about it. You're really not at an advantage or disadvantage. Its just a change of traits that improve one thing but ruin another....(for those that know more then i do about all this)(I dumbed it really down so that this wouldnt be an essay)
