Did Bungie Forget About Titans???
Edit: I was never a year one player so I had no idea about how hard the quest was before. I now understand how much easier it is, I apologize. Please stop commenting about it.
So I got the Thorn bounty from an Iron Lord Bounty, and I was stoked. Went to Eris Morn, killed a bunch of Fallen, and then *smack*. "Feast Upon The Light: Use Void Damage to defeat guardians in the Crucible." Are you kidding me? First off, whenever some exotic quest makes you get kills in crucible, it seems like it's always void kills, and that annoys me. Second, just wow Bungie.

Have
Void
Attack
Supers.
I'm now using a 365 rare sidearm to finish this quest, thanks Bungie.

Look up year one thorn bounty I did it with Titan, Deal with it I also had to solo the last part of it because the matchmaking broke.

Who gives a shit that you have to use a 365 sidearm? And you can just put your bubble over a control point with a bunch of enemies and just go to town on them with your damn fists!

You can use the artifact to get 2 grenades and 2 melee. Use flux grenades .

Back in my day, year 1, that thorn bounty was the bane of any k/d ratio. Not only did titans have no supers but deaths counted against you. I remember how hard it was to come across void weapons. I ended up using a white weapon and green heavy (didn't have truth at that point). I almost broke my controller, tv, and wall.

9 RepliesYou're complaining about an exotic quest they made easier. Back in Y1 that part lost progress on death. "Having" to use a rare sidearm is barely worth blinking at.

Year 1 hunters had no void subclass at all. You also lost progress on death. No excuses

You could at least get void kills with your melee and grenade. As a hunter in Y1, I used the word of crota, swordbreaker, and a void dead orbit LMG for the thorn bounty; and that was when you lost progress on death.

I got my first exotic, the Thorn, back in year 1 on my hunter with nothing but a blue rare void sniper. And to make matters worse, deaths set you back on the quest. Stfu.

You can use atheons epilogue or word of crota as primaries and any void pistol with your granades and melee of course is annoyin but in Y1 hunters didnt had a void subclass yet I got my Y1 thorn using my hunter.

Come on dude I did the year 1 and year 3 Thorn quest with my Titan. My KD is the same as yours maybe worse and I had the PvP part done in like a hour or so.

In year one I did it with sword breaker and a void machine gun on a defender titan with double stickies if I could do it in year 1 with a sword breaker on defender losing 5 points from the bounty on death, than you can do it now it's waaaayy easier now than it used to be

Please tell me you are joking? Were you around in year 1? Try doing a thorn bounty on a hunter with no void sub class and- 5 penalty for a death. Just use void grenade and melee together with void weapons. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
