Not sure if anyone sees the diversity...
As you can tell from the beautiful percentages given by Trials Report, diversity is at an all time high! As you can see the autorifle buff made them even less used, and the range nerf to handcannons gave them a very high usage increase!
No Flinch Beyond is now the most used primary in the game! YAY! Diversity! The worst gun in year 1 is now the best gun in year 3! Secondary weapons are diverse too, 2 sidearms and an ammo regenerating sniper. Shotguns and fusions are non existent, but thats ok. 4 shot wormwoods are by far SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better.
What the -blam!- is happening... Someone fix this game...
Edit: Seems some people understand, others don't. This isn't a nerf post either... Why does every triggered Destiny player automatically assume everything is about nerfs? This post was just for all those "special" kids that said this patch would bring SOOOOOOOOO much diversity.

What's it been? A week and a half. People just feel safe with their special ammo

2 RepliesBasing diversity on a gametype where ppl compete to be the best. Of course they will use weapons that give them even the slightest edge. Mranwhile in clash i see every weapon being used. Even blue's.
-
1 ReplyLol only 14.5% of ToO participants went Flawless that week, pretty sad.

1 ReplyEdited by swampNinja20: 2/23/2017 5:39:39 AMI've been an avid trials player...at least until last week. It's just too bland with this patch. 6v6 is still fine, but the last few patches have been slowly making trials less enjoyable. IMO this recent update put the nail in the coffin. I hope they figure this sh*t out for D2

1 ReplySidearms are literally the most boring, non satisfying gun to use in the game. Nothing more exciting than clutching with a shotty or sniper or even fusion for that matter. The gameplay got so dull and boring to play with this patch it's just people preaiming corners and back-pedalling with sidearms.
-
NLB may be most used but it's not the best. So many people miss with it, and are easily gunned down after with any primary.

Edited by Inb4ban: 2/23/2017 3:24:44 AMWell the thing is bungie devs always got their heads buried in the sands and will instantly start working on the next patch as soon as posts like this are commonplace. The second IB is nerfed, is the second I, and most of the community, leaves. Also Trials data, especially from Black shield, is Invalid. There are 2 tactics for Black shield, either have one sniper at the centre as a distraction while the other two sneak around to enemy spawn with shotguns (now replaced with sidearms) or rush centre with all snipers to slowly pick off the opposing team. Both usually ensure in lots of death, for both you and the other team. To survive with such tactics, disciplined revival habits must be enforced, and with that, instant access to special ammo to continue the fight
-
1 Replyreverse it back only for ToO It's similiar to last year 2016: first round Icebreaker, then normal weapons 2017 first round normal weapons, then switching to NLB, sidearm or Icebreaker

1 ReplyI've pretty much never been less surprised

1 Replythe stats show that people traded the shotgun for a sidearm. Bungie fails to realize that we do not want to have a rotating meta where a few weapons are powerful and the rest subpar to then have it all switched again. What we want is to be able to have fun, use all the weapons because they are all viable options and, feel powerful. Choking off ammo supply is a valid option, but, only if it is adopted by every special weapon, by leaving one untouched you automatically have people gravitate towards the path of least resistance.. and casuals are going to follow that path because they do not play enough to find a path on there own. Bungie claimed to have understood we don't always want nerfs and that precision changes are needed and then continued to nerf and hack away at parts of the game.. again.. I had hoped this patch would be great.. yet really knew that it would be more of the same.. you can't expect a different result from the same people who have said the same things since the beginning.. This is not the Halo team, it never will be and for better or worse, we have this team.. I do have one request to make of bungie, seeings as they are unable, or refuse to do anything about the red bar warriors out there who are causing no end of frustration to the pvp and even the pve community, perhaps take into consideration ping speeds and lag when balancing.. I would guess that 2 in 12 players so just shy of 20% of all players have poor connections that cause lag.. thats a high number but, we don't know what the lag rate is.. perhaps bungie could find out that mean ping lag and work that into the game, yes I realize that it may slow down time to kill, but wouldn't we all rather get beat fair and square and not by some guy vacationing in the caves of Afghanistan whos internet is about as stable as the "peace" in the middle east.

17 RepliesYay I'm not on the chart! jade rabbit and my conviction II. But I did use stickies so I'll take the hate from that but not my weapon choice
-
1 ReplyMan you sound weak
-
1 ReplyI have the theory that the reason that people are using hand cannons even after range nerf is because is the weapon closer to a shotgun....close combat and high impact. That's why they don't care about the range nerf.
-
19 RepliesEvery game I played last night was nothing but freakin sidearms. Beating my scout, auto rifle, and handcannon at stupidly high range. I actually clapped and sent a positive message to a guy who sniped me with the ice breaker. This is the stupidest joke possible. I'd rather have shotguns in my face then this truly unbalanced BS.
-
9 Repliesthe reality was that 85% of the trials players in the last meta were matador/clever dragon... with palindrome/eyasluna making up most of the rest... so yes, there is more diversity now ;). I went flawless this weekend using mida/sniper/sidearm ... I think people are sleeping on mida this meta, but something needs to be done with the extra amo carryover for sidearms. It should be one clip and one clip only on respawn. And the average wormwood user probably uses 6-7 shots for a kill not 4... way easier to survive than a full auto matador jug titan imo.
-
1 Reply" 4 shot wormwoods are by far SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better." One shot, shotguns were better?...
-
58 RepliesOh yea let's change the whole damn game because of one game mode that revolves around the bigger picture of what it truly is. Or better yet let's nerf every gun that's being used a lot because we're salty -blam!-s who can't adapt to game change and can't stand being killed by something new. Both of those weapons had absolutely NOTHING changed to them in the update, yet nobody called them OP before the update, if anything using them was a joke. It's pathetic listening to this shit over and over
-
1 ReplySo people in trials take the cheap way out ... no -blam!-ing way lol
-
5 RepliesLess diversity you say? But wait there's more! In addition you get less fun! LESS FUN *AND* LESS DIVERSITY YAYYYYYYY!
-
5 RepliesMost people played the cash me ousside how bow da strat and shotguns were no good out there soooo. Overall looked pretty good to me, side arms will fade out, they aren't over powered or anything, a lot of people are just to dependent on special weapons cause this games pvp has been broken for so long.
-
4 RepliesWell dang, shotguns went WAY down in usage.
-
3 RepliesIt would be nice if it also showed the percentages of total kills in a pie chart for primary, secondary, heavy and ability kills. But yea. The fact that two special weapon types have 95%+ of the kills for a category... Almost as bad as auto rifles having 90%+...
-
2 RepliesEdited by ThePerfectPixl: 2/22/2017 3:27:49 PMThat's cool. Seems like it would be better than the last time I played Trials.

2 RepliesNice to see the Mida is making a comeback.
