Please tell me why some of you guys on the forums think No Land Beyond is OP or takes no skill to use. I am curious what your line of thinking is because....
(1) it doesn't even have that high AA.
(2) reload glitch doesn't always work, and the misfire can get you killed.
(3) It may say it is a Medium/High Impact type but it starts you off with a 292 Headshot until "The Master" is active.
(4) You still have a ridiculous flinch when being fired at, and unless the target is standing still most NLB users won't land the headshot in mid-fire fight.
(5) No one said anything about it until they nerfed snipers across the board and Clever Dragon became the meta. Literally everyone that complains about NLB only started when the new Clever-Meta started.
(6) You may spawn with Ammo but you lose having an actual primary. Like seriously? Everyone bitching when they have the most OP set up in the game. If you miss your shot, the Clever Dragon or Matador will eat you alive every time (Hell even TLW users do).
(7) NLB is only as good as your aim, it is not very forgiving with headshots because of the unique sight.
(8) It isn't a weapon that anyone can pick up and get kills with (Like the Clever Dragon or Mapadork)
(9) Mulligan sometimes -blam!-s up your reload glitch attempt so you have to wait to fire your weapon anyways.
(10) It was rated the most underused and useless exotic in the beginning. Hell people asked for buffs or tweaks with it because it was underused. Now that it is being used, people are calling it OP or needs a nerf?
Shame on all of you who disrespect NLB and it's good name. Pick it up yourself and use it until the update happens (see how OP it is then).
*Edits/Update* I had no idea my rant was going to be getting this many likes and responses. Thank you all who have discussed this, it has brought some insight and I would like to share some of my thoughts about what people are saying about the gun.
*Edit/Update #2*
A couple comments made me realize I could of been a little lengthy with my first edit and could of seemed like I was singling out some responses. Removed to keep to the point.
*Edit 3*
Critical is 292-293. Confirmed.
Have a great night Guys, I am tired and I enjoyed all the responses. It was fun and did not expect to see this post trend like it has. It was simply me getting my frustrations out of people bashing my current favorite exotic.
Have a wonderful day Guardians. Use what you like. Whether OP or not, because come the 14th this meta will change and NLB will still be my baby.

2 RepliesWhether we wanted it or not, we've stepped into a war with the Cabal on Mars. So let's get to taking out their command, one by one. Valus Ta'aurc. From what I can gather, he commands the Siege Dancers from an Imperial Land Tank just outside of Rubicon. He's well protected, but with the right dick, we can punch through those defenses, take this bitch out and break her grip on

5 RepliesThe hate comes from it being a sniper which in this meta (clever is the best primary but secondarys always win) it's a sniper that allows you to use matador with it. It's a sniper which takes one hit to kill meanwile there primarys shoot marshmallows. If someone skilled uses the gun and pares it with matador you are litterally -blam!-ed at any range whatsoever. There is no counter to the set up either. If there good you've already lost.

1 ReplyWhat would you do if NLB got nerfed anyways?
-
1 ReplyIt's been in my top 5 favorite exotics since I got it during House Of Wolves. Simply put, if you think it's OP then you have never used it. FACT.
-
1 Reply#10. I'm pretty sure that trophy went to nechrochasm.
-
2 RepliesI can personally say that I have never had an issue with it. Why? Because when a player is looking like they want to fight at long range I slide and jump and evade. It's all about strategy. I can think of one time that I was torn up by the NLB, and the guy deserved every kill he got. I am horrible with snipers but that doesn't mean that others cannot use them. This weapon is definitely not OP.

Automatic win for me if I see the other team using nlb, so please keep using it. Makes crucible/trials that much easier for me.
-
4 RepliesThis community is ridiculous... what are they going to complain about next?
-
Because people like to complain. I just kept running up on one NLB camper yesterday with an Eyasluna and Trespasser and howl emoted on his body everytime I killed him. Some teammates started joining in and waving whenever he died.

Edited by Romeo: 2/8/2017 2:19:54 PMShut up meg
Hardest weapon to use is chaperone

except i rekt scrubs like you with it.
I mean let's not act like this gun takes a month worth of using to get use to it. And everyone hates it bc the bullet isn't effected by flinch. It always goes to where the gun was aiming before flinch takes over. Sooo they should either buff snipers or nerf the no land to keep it in line with other snipers.
-
Starting to become pretty proficient with this weapon, after a bit of practice. :) It does feel cheap though, sometimes I'm left baffled by what it considers a headshot.
-
Point 6! You don't really lose your primary slot though? Loads of people snipe then change to dragon etc quickly for closer range
-
4 RepliesEdited by haphazardlynamed: 2/8/2017 12:22:53 PMregarding point 6 no one uses their Primary anyways, they use Matador so NLB taking away your Primary slot isn't actually a trade-off Right now Crucible is a Special weapons game, either Shotgun or Sniper well with NLB, now you can have both. That's what makes it unbalanced.
-
Edited by Enochua: 2/8/2017 1:32:25 PMto say the gun is working as intended is wrong, no other sniper gives people hit markers and headshots like it when reticle or sights arent even on target. being one of many people who still take a shot even tho you arent on target makes you lucky not good. the gun is broken, but im not asking for it to be nerfed just want people to be realistic when talking about it, so be real
-
No land litterally is the only gun with no flinch in the game. It has NONE. Not a small amount of flinch, there is no flinch. I dont know why you are saying it has too much flinch when it does not.
-
Play someone who's actually good with that gun. It's like when snipers used to be good. I've had more than 10 occasions where I have at least 3 burst from clever dragon on someone with NLB and get shot right in my face. That's OP
-
Sounds like someone is butthurt that they cant use it efficiently
-
2 RepliesPersonally, I think NLB is balanced, and barely worth the exotic slot. Please don't change it.
-
7 RepliesLol. I respect anyone that uses NLB. This gun takes skill. A lot more skill than most guns in this game. Do not nerf NLB.
-
GG NLB FTW

Edited by JungleofTaxemes: 2/8/2017 11:00:32 AM>You still have a ridiculous flinch when being fired at, and unless the target is standing still most NLB users won't land the headshot in mid-fire fight. You really don't flinch, though. It's visual, that's the whole point. The barrel does, but the bullet goes where the reticle goes (the little pin) and that has super unflinching. If you train your eyes to look at that rather than the barrel shooting through flinch is significantly easier than all other guns.

1 Replypeople who complain about no land beyond are ridiculous it's just stupid how people think it's over powered it isn't in the slightest
