2 RepliesWhat burns me is that for the first time in Halo, multiplayer is 100 % online locked. That means that in the future when M$ pulls the plug, all of our forge maps and anything multiplayer related will disappear forever like an expired MMO. The only thing left will be campaign and any videos and screenshots we saved. Maybe the modding community will do something about that by using the PC Forge mode to create an unofficial offline multiplayer. I'm tired of this modern day pay to play trend shit.

I thought one of 343's strong suits in halo 4 was the unlock system. Splatter mastery for verdant visor, assassination mastery for dead space armor, and there was so much if it. But halo 5 threw all of that away for RnG packs.

Nice separation of Ranked and Social, with both offering exactly what you'd want from each. Ranked is very competitive and sweaty, and Social is very silly and fun. Warzone FireFight is good fun. The REQ system, especially considering that it means free DLC for everyone and no splitting of the playerbase, is great. Amazing assortment of weapons and vehicles. Campaign is fun to play. The game looks great. Great variation in armor. Sound design is good. I love having Weapon Skins. [b][u]Bad:[/u][/b] It's far too easy to get a Perfect medal on moving targets. The game needs faster movement acceleration, faster movement speed, and less bullet magnetism. The story is just dumb. In general, everything is a bit too shiny and bright. I would like for things to look a bit more dirty or not as reflective. The Spartans' undersuits should be fully black, not half-black and half-something else. Makes it look bad. Still missing important gametypes. Forge Minigame makes it possible to recreate any gametype and create our own, but it can be rather complicated to recreate gametypes properly, and each map has to be built specifically for that gametype in order to work. So it would be better to just have the gametypes. The redesigned enemies are ugly, and redesigning them was simply unnecessary. Just leave them as they were. The old Elites, Grunts and Jackals were charming in a way. Now they're all just ugly. The Hunters are okay though.

Reinstalled it last night. Played for half an hour, went back to Overwatch. I still love Halo as a franchise, but idk, somehow H5 isn't fun. Maybe it's just me.

War zone was good.... everything else sucked. It's killed my faith in the franchise.

As a lapsed Halo fan, it did nothing to make me want to come back to the series. In fact, if anything it felt more like a nail in the coffin for me personally. Like I doubt I would even buy Halo 6 to be honest.

5 RepliesI just despise the art style. If 343 made Spartans look like they did in Reach instead of like they just came off of the Barbie assembly line I'd actually play it. Plus, the campaign sucks. Multiplayer is good, but it doesn't feel Halo. It feels COD. And people don't like COD anymore.

4 RepliesI honestly haven't played it since it came out. I beat the campaign on normal once and was done. I played maybe 5 or 6 hours of the multiplayer and gave it up. I suppose the biggest reason was because I only know 1 other person with an Xbox One and they weren't too into halo anyway so I've got no one to play with even if it was good.

1 ReplyMP is the best since Halo 3. Vehicles could use some buffing and the AI in FF/WZ could be made into something better, but a step in the right direction over 4 and MCC's disastrous handling. Story direction still looks like pure spaghetti and a lack of split screen in a Halo title is unforgivable, but overall still a pretty damn good game.

I don't even remember the whole single hour of campaign play time I have because I got so bored I slipped into a coma, never went back to it. The multiplayer is mediocre at it's best and total garbage at it's worst. Warzone is nothing but a lot of wasted potential dragged down by microtransactions; same thing with firefight. The Spartan customization is marginally better than Halo 2's (a game from 2004) and what there is with the customization either timegated or behind a paywall. Never played customs or forge because I simply have no interest in that stuff anymore. Art style is still hideous. Music is okay, I guess. Game takes too much hard drive space, 343 needs to learn to compress. Oh and the ranking system in Arena is more exploitable than 3's 1-50. Want Onyx +? Just play with some Diamonds and you'll get there in no time!
