Mexico is making HUGE profits off of us in the NAFTA trade imbalance. It's 100% just that they pay for our wall with the huge amount of profit they're making.

Lets make the starving children in Africa pay and build it.

Just ask the Chinese how well a wall works at keeping people out. They will either go around it or under it. Doesn't take a genius to see that.
-
Let's make Canada pay for it.
-
Why should they? Practically everyone immigrating illegally comes from the countries south of Mexico and just passes through them. Mexico's trying to stop them already anyway

2 RepliesAnd they're paying via the 20% tax. I fully agree with this transaction

The current plan will not force them to pay.

It is clear that you are a communist prick, even if u don t know that yet. Just because they have it better doesn t mean they should pay for it. How about you first world americans pay for the debts and problems of the third world countries by the same logic. Things aren t meant to be equal. -blam!- off

12 RepliesDo you have any idea how much a wall across the US Mexico border would cost. You would need a foundation that goes to a rather extreme depth, and an even more extreme height, as well as CCTV cameras with thermal imaging to monitor the wall, and posts at certain distances for border agents to work from so that they can catch people as, or shortly after a cross. The taxes that would come out of the working US citizens wages to pay for the wall, the wages of the extra border agents, the CCTV, the upkeep of the wall, and increased resources that would be required by the extra agents, including but not limited to helicopters, and ATVs, as well as their upkeep. Mexico will not pay for a wall, and there is no way that the US can force Mexico to pay for the wall. The US citizens tax rate would rise significantly to cover the costs, that or you lose substantial quality of, or completely lose some services. Even if Mexico paid to build the wall, they won't pay for its upkeep, or the wages of those working on the border, as a result, the US citizens tax rate would still rise significantly.

1 ReplySo what happens when they just keep using the same tunnels to get across?

2 RepliesBuilding the wall is going to be a bigger failure than America's healthcare system
-
1 ReplyWhy is Mexico is going to waste money on an ineffective wall? Why are WE are even considering building an ineffective wall?
-
If the rich people on Wall Street have taught us anything, it's that just because some people make more money than others, doesn't mean they give that money to those who they are making the money off of.
-
You mean the we the taxpayers will pay for it
-
Edited by Legion: 1/29/2017 3:52:54 AMWe need to build that wall.

1 ReplyThat's not a reason why they will, it's a reason why they should.

52 RepliesCredulous at best. Mexico is a sovereign nation, enjoy your illusion that they'll pay for the wall.
