Why would I buy Destiny 2?
After the endless failures of balance attempts bungie has made and three years of horrible connections and SBMM. Who could support a company that truly could care less about the enjoyment of their players. It takes bungie 6 months to do simple things. I don't consider Bungie very intelligent or professional.

1 ReplyI really wouldn't consider buying a second one without D2 seeing proper high scoring critical reviews of all aspects of the game. Everything is assuming that the next destiny is coming and it will be the same as D1. When it could just be as easily Destiny Wars, the next RTS game. I really don't see myself buying a sequel as all signs point to it being the same trash as D1. The writing team got fired/left last april, and its going to be more "episodic" type content according to the new job listings Unless I see an opencritic / metacritic aggregated score of at least 92, I'll hold off on getting this at sale price

...because there is absolutely no information about said product and you would be spending money on something that does not exist. Destiny 2 is not a thing right now. Don't act like you're fingering your wallet staring at the store wondering if you should get it. WAIT and actually gather information on the product you want to purchase so that you can be aware if it is something that will be worth your time and money. ...and for the love of all the millions of gods above and below DO NOT PRE-ORDER!

Indeed. I wasn't even going to buy RoI but got strong armed into it by my friends. We've raided exactly 3 times and they've already moved onto other games. Suffice to say I won't be giving Bungie any more money after how poor RoI was.

7 RepliesIm asking myself the same question. They couldnt even sell me on RoI. Truth be told though, if they go back to how things were in Y1, id reconsider buying it. The game was so much fun in Y1. The chase for elite loot, replaying the endgame over and over again, looking forward to reset night. And the amazing guns that made u feel so OP! Tons of fun, and Y2 wrecked it. If Destiny 2 continues the same trajectory as Y2, then theres no point. If its a throwback to Y1, then id definitely give it a shot. No preorder though, and wouldn't pay premium price after the way theyve screwed over loyal players who repeatedly pre-ordered and paid a premium to play.

They sold us the same rehashed stuff several times over; consistently giving us what we want, taking it away, then giving it back as something 'new'. They also designed a loot system that forces you to sink hundreds of hours into the game in the hopes RNG rolls in your favour.

Pvp side doesnt bother me. It is what it is. it will always be unbalanced, because skill is the major factor that determines where it goes. But campaign, story, world, interactions and especially enemies need to be vast in destiny 2.

Destiny has made this company a lot and a lot of money. It would take a seismic shift in the consumer market (not just the same 400 nay sayers in this app) to make actual change I.e. No Mans Sky. I hope you find a game more worthy in the future. Have a great evening man.

You have 35 days of playtime and you played as recently as yesterday. That implies that you either like the game or you hate yourself. If it's the former, then that's why you'd buy destiny 2.

I don't play to worry about any balance attempts or failures etc, that's all subjective. I play to shoot things in the head and have fun. Its very very simple, you play a game for fun, if its not fun then you do not play it. Destiny for any of its fault has been the most fun I have ever had in a game and I've been playing games for 30 plus years.. If Destiny 2 gives me even half the hours of game play as destiny 1 and as much fun I will be very very happy :)

Lmao... It goes way beyond the ridiculous "balance" in this game. But if you are just a PvP gamer I can understand and actually feel a tad bit sorry for new gamers that are going to go through all the hell they are now and "D2"
