So it's gonna be that kind of IB week...
This was my first match of this IB. I feel it's a pretty accurate example of my Crucible experience.

Some of my spawns have been like this. I'll get some kills, grab cover to regen some health and 3 enemies spawn right next to me and gang bang me. So far no teabagging or excessive emote usage, which is surprising.

This is actually why i quit playing destiny so much. I got tired of playing against red bars. Now I only play on tuesdays and mainly just did nf for icebreaker. And now that me and my brother got icebreaker, i probably wont play it again

Is the rocket and sidearm the only weapon drops? If so that sucks big D

2 RepliesI haven't bothered with ib this time. Without the level packages it's pointless. Why are they not simply keeping both the loot and extra packs for the ranks. It's not rocket science....could even have had trials quality loot like an armour piece for 3 and weapon for 5.

Grabbed a fireteam with the Xbox LFG and had my friend with me the whole way. If someone left, my post stayed up. It was lit since some games I absolutely dominated, and very few I was really pissed about. Idk what the issue is, I hate the red bars but I'm really only in there for the bounties lol.

I got the old red bar gods all night last night. I report every one of them. Not that it'll do any good when Bungie ignores stuff like that. I know I'm an average player but, DAMN last night was tortuous.

37 RepliesWe were wondering if Bungie boosted the armor stat for IB? I party-crashed a guy twice with a melee in between and he had more than half of his health. Then I survived an attachable grenade, which I thought was impossible. Two people survived a Golden Gun blast too. Anyone else notice this? Is it just lag?

You should not be surprised by this. With the new settings, when lower level players are getting stomped, (which is pretty much every game now), they leave to find a match they have a chance in. That leaves a team with a lower score and a space to fill. I saw this coming when the new settings were announced. Match those lower level people with others they have no chance of competing with, its easier and more fun to find a match where you do have a chance, then stay and get stomped.

1 Reply2 games in a row with a team of randoms where we had THAT guy playing IB at LL 203. Both games he had 1 kill and 17 deaths, single handedly dragging the the team to defeat. It wasn't until the 2nd game that I realized what was going on, and quickly exited the lobby when game was over. And I'll bet he's the guy that gets on these forums and moans about the IB being a sweatfest.

lol! I had one a few IBs ago where I never even made it to the map. Went straight to the reward screen, where I was delighted to get a 400 chest piece that I really needed. I was stoked.

Yep, just played a few minutes ago. Queenbreakers shot to the guys face? No damage... Ok run lets try someone else. 2 melee attacks on confused opponent? No damage... and he turns around and blasts me with a shotgun, so of course I die. Wtf?? Alright match over lets do another. Doing ok I get a couple kills, when I run up on a trio camping together. Run up jump over 1st guy, off a small ledge aaannndddd... FIST OF HAVOC right in the middle of all 3... YES take th... What? Smoke clears and? No damage... *sigh* -blam!- this I quit

I just got to rank 4 in just 6 matches. That being said yesterday on a different character I had 7 losses in a row... Can't say the connections have been bad this time around. Still hardly ever get killed by something other than a Shotgun or super/ability. Clever dragon is a distant 3rd it seems, with Snipers being way behind; although, I am getting a good amount of Snipes, not using Shotty at all.

3 RepliesMy last match (and will probably remain that for some time) was absolutely horrible. I was standing next to two friends at heavy when I just spontaneously combusted. No Titan in sight and no one else near me sustained any damage. I didn't even get to see the red outline of my killer! My friends couldn't stop laughing. Apparently I 'died' a while ago and the damn lag finally caught up.

Got to play for a few hrs last night. Had a great IB experience. I saw plenty of redbars and destiny server messages....I even red barred for some reason. Trying to spread some positive vibe as well. I like the pvp community and working different weapons.

4 RepliesI played with a striker and shotty iwith mixed results for one game last night just for kicks (I usually play voidwalker), and after the match the worst guy on the other team messaged me telling me to learn to use a primary. I compared our stats, and while ~45% of my overall crucible kills are from primaries, and ~25% from specials, on all of his characters specials accounted for 30-40% of his crucible kills are from specials and around 25% are from primaries. This also from a guy running nightstalker/clever dragon/matador. IB is so..fun...
