Have any other PvPers just walked away from the Crucible?
A time was when I loved Destiny PvP, even with all its flaws. Lately, it is just unbearable and nearly unplayable. Get one solid match with a 2.4 k/d and decent connections. Then the next 5 or so I'm getting 0.4 - 0.6 and getting shot/sniped through walls. Fake greenbars everywhere. I even landed a headshot on a guy with TLW when he was around a corner out of sight. Stupid bullshit kills. I know a lot of people experience these problems, but I don't think I can keep playing Crucible anymore. It's far more stressful than it is relaxing. Just curious how many other PvPers have finally said eff it and stopped playing.
So many people say "just play to relax and you won't get frustrated". But, that's the point, you just can't relax playing Crucible anymore. Not because "K/D matters", but because when half your shots don't register or things are working improperly on a consistent basis, there is no fun in it.
Sure it's relaxing to build something out of legos, even if it isn't that great, but if every time you go to put a block on another and it misses, I'm sure anyone would get ticked off lol.

Im not leaving but im extremely annoyed how things are going for me and apparently many others. I honestly had better games and less lag before the mm change. Sounds nuts but true..the only difference is now im playing way more higher skilled players, the green bars are false red bars and getting shot through walls is a common occurence now. I just cant "git good" in the state crucible is in. There is no more gunplay just nades supers melees snipe body shots and of course the mapador...primaries are only there to cleanup after a quick body snipe...everyone wants to play call of duty in destiny..the player population is too small and is nothing but people who made it there life goal to go mlg or something. Had a team of titans teleporting with matadors and immune to nade damage and special weapon damage but not primary damage..how convenient. I didnt know lag was damage specific til last night. Titan hammers were freezing in mid air along with a fire trail...On and on and on i can go. Ive accepted it and only hope for ded. Servers for d2 and ranked and social playlist and solo que option on all game modes. They need to make those changes for D2. For now im just gonna suck it up n try to have fun.

PVP has gotten so sweaty. While I'm having fun with different guns, everyone plays like it's trials. You immediately start getting melted by meta guns the moment you decide to turn that corner and engage. What's more, in objective game modes, no one aims to stay together. It's like everyone captures that first zone, then SCATTER, and you never see them again.

7 RepliesI'm about there. I've just been trying new weapons, seeing if I can find something I like, but it's hard with these horseshit lobbies. The matchmaking update was a bunch of BS. The connections are the same as they always have been. Red bars teleporting, shooting green bar players and no damage numbers showing up. Good times.

I never really started, destinys pvp is garbage, they should really focus on pve more.

Y1 non stop player but recently have quit playing for 4 months except for private matches with friends and a tiny bit of elimination.

44 RepliesYou guys need to grow up and realize you got killed because the other player outplayed you/you made a mistake/you were defenseless. Yes, there are certain, unique circumstances where lag is present and causes you to get killed. However, once you accept the fact that it was not "lag" and you just missed, or were not completely behind cover, you will be much happier. Just remember, the fact you cannot see the other player does not mean they cant see you. Maybr your shoulder was exposed, not "i got shot through a wall." Im not a crucible god, im an average/ sometimes above average player that has been improving. However, i accept that 99% of the time i died because i SHOULD have. Let the networking pros come out of the woodwork and tell me all about the issues at hand, when a majority of them dont know what dedicated servers even are.

It's horrible. Just played three clash matches with unbelievable amounts of bs going on. Nova bomb down hallway 180 around corner and down another hallway to kill me. Skip grenade from across map while in an enclosed room, grenades and shots from behind walls, red bars, fake green bars, no damage taken from point blank shots, some melee attacks beat my super. Last match I hardly saw a single person but my radar was going crazy.

I just pick up Shaxxs weekly bounty , knock that out in a couple of hours then -blam!- the crucible off .

I never seem to get many laggers. Just the odd one every 5-6 games. I just stopped playing PvP cause I took a break for a month and I haven't been able to get back into it.

Too many mapadork 69's and dumb lizards are plaguing pvp. Might as well pick up pve.

I usually either stop playing or switch characters. Most of the time I know I'm getting outplayed and when I switch characters I dominate again. Lately, I only play PVP when I feel like it or my friends are online too. If play for hours and hours then of course you will get burnt out.

I quit majority of all my games now due to red bars, lag and other team are all solo and have huge k/d's and my solo team is all under 1.0, looks like matchmaking makes some teams better and quicker at getting kills because next game I play against these teams, they can't even get past a .7 k/d and I have the high k/d. I just played a few games with hunter that I really never play and he was taken out of full blade dance with a shotgun from a distance - fck this game. I have no want to buy D2 and they will not have dedicated servers. They have gotten away this long without them, why would they get them now. Go Steelers !!!!! You are our holiday blessing today.

I hear you. I have around many hours, more than you can see because I used to have double Titan, and I am a PVP player. I loved it at first... but since half way Y2... I gave up.. too much lag. Bungie can't hope to be doing esports with bad quality connections like this. Hopefully D2 will have dedicated servers... if not... I'll just buy the deluxe edition a year later to save 50%, have all the DLCs and I'll do the campaign. As someone else said, my PVP is now songle handled by Overwatch with their AAA game. Overwatch has to be the most balanced FPS game I ever played.. considering the 20+ Roster. Aaaand free contents and events added regularly. I am rank 380 and only seen lag once or twice for a few seconds. Oh and 60fps kthx

Have seen bullets coming through the wall long after I move well away. For the shooter knows full well continued fire at cover will still score hits. I learned a long time ago to move about 10 feet from cover or the bullets continue to score. In Destiny cover is really just for decoration.

I either play private matches or rumble. 6s are where I find the most lag. Also, bungie is so full of shit. Matchmaking is no different than before. CBMM and a ranked playlist is needed.
