first place should always get a legendary reward in crucible
title. the first place person should be guaranteed a legendary, but there should still be the chance of people below to get rewarded in order to cater to bungie's love of casuals.
im sick of grinding classic playlists for hours on end for several weekends and watching as people at the bottom of the board get eyaslunas even though i win most of the games.

what do you think this forum is for? christmas cookie baking recipes? no dude, its a forum to discuss the video game. people will make suggestions and have opinions regarding the video game. if anyone in this thread accuses another individual of crying or whining or feeling entitled or, god forbid, [i]maining a class,[/i] they really need to reevaluate what the forum is intended to be used for. if you disagree with someone thats fine, there's no problem with having an opinion, but dont be an ass about it.

I'd say give it higher chance than the lower placed people yeah because that person was either really lucky or showed a certain amount of skill to get that top position. But a guaranteed legendary might be a bit much though... it might be nice yeah but to have it guaranteed every time could be a bit much. Have it so a reward is guaranteed for the top player but maybe not always a legendary. Hell maybe even the top 3 cuz I've been in matches before where it was pretty close between myself and the top player and I either end up second or third but I don't get anything But of course still let the people who place lower get a chance at the legendary stuff cuz otherwise it's not entirely fair...

Just use a token/xp system for loot boxes that guarantee a legendary drop. Offer tokens to top 3 finishers in 6 v 6 playlist and top 3 overall in 3v3. These tokens should be used to either purchase loot boxes or reroll one column of a weapon's perk tree (once a column is selected only that column can be rerolled). Of course you get more tokens for first place finishes. To appease the less crucible devoted, offer tokens for strike playlist streaks.

I'm pretty sure if Bungie didn't change the system after hundreds of posts in yr1, they're not going to do it for you. Besides not one of your characters is close to 400 and you're bitching about Bungie's love for casuals, sorry but in my book that would include you.

In year 1 I would purposely get last on my time to get legendary engrams. One of the best farms yet.

If the person at the top is guaranteed a legendary, you will see a spike in cheating. All those kids trying to farm kills to make it to the top. I really think PvP would become unplayable.

Agree. And you should be able to unlock a certain grimoire which allows legendaries to drop in the weekly playlist. Or something. If we can prove that we can put up with all the pvp bullshit enough to play the thing they should give us something.

14 RepliesIm not going to agree with this mate, say you play a game of clash, the top player on your team finishes with a k/d of 0.5 with 20 kills, you have been playing a bit more passively but finish with a k/d of 2 with 14 kills. You have done better but the guy running and constantly dying got more score because of a higher amount of kills. This is a bit of a stupid example but you get my idea, at the moment if i join a game half way through I will stick it out, if this was introduced i would leave to make sure i have the best chance at that reward. I totally understand how you feel, spent an hour playing last night and got some lovely blues, yet my friends who didn't do as well came away with some nice gear.

honestly though you have a point. maybe they should even have a "winning streak" buff (like the vanguard streak in strikes) that applies for a stacking effect of not just legendary rewards, but better rolled rewards when you get consecutive wins and/or first place in SCORE (not necessarily KD). it might make pvp even more sweaty (which sucks for me LMAO) but no matter the matchmaking algorithm or reward system in place, the cream always rises to the top.

Ranked playlist > reward according to performance Casual playlist > reward randomly and even The ranked reward system CANT and WONT ever work in a casual playlist. In any shape or form. Makes it even more sweaty and very unfair for the lesser skilled PVPers.
