As you see in the title, Unflinching should be a good perk with the recent nerfs to snipers, but the perk is absolutely useless and the effect is so small that it's not a sought after perk.
Edit: As I'm reading some of the replies, I think some people are assuming that I'm crying because of the flinch nerf. I'm not. I'm only talking about the unflinching perk on snipers that should help but the effects are very minimal.
Edit: I've removed my video because people were getting mad lol but let's talk about the real post. I see a lot of people saying the flinch nerf was needed, I agree, but to an extent. I shouldn't get the same flinch effect from far away as I should from up close. On top of that, Bungie went out of their way to nerf unflinching, the one perk that would help snipers out with the flinch.

11 RepliesSo lets take this to real life.. You think you would flinch less if shot from 100 yards opposed to 30 yards....? You would unscope in real life real quick if you got shot at all. Your lucky they don't make you unscope when you get hit.
-
3 RepliesI'd so bump this shit. Snipers are still getting off shots while scoping hitting a guardian while being shot before and he gets a crispy headshot but where's the flinching bungie?
-
1 ReplySniping has fallen off a cliff usage wise, bungie will un do some of these changes. My thing is I think you should flinch as hard as we currently are but on on precision damage so there is a higher skill requirement for countering sniper rifles. Getting flinched like crazy because someone is spamming a low impact AR down a hallway and doing 5 damage per shot shouldn't flinch you as hard as someone nailing headshots with a hand cannon or scout rifle
-
2 RepliesUnflinching is a perk that needs to be removed. Snipers still do not flinch enough.
-
17 RepliesNo make it descope like halo 5 thats were sniping takes skill not destiny
-
Well considering I'm still getting hit through flinch pretty consistently, I'd say I agree that unflinching is useless.
-
2 RepliesYou new here?

4 RepliesCome back when you have had a perk completely removed. Then we'll talk

65 RepliesEdited by Lull9: 10/18/2016 4:11:26 AMGolly gee... it sure sucks that your viable-at-any-range cancer weapon now actually has a drawback that can't be perk-ed away. Sniffles. :( Crucible is so much better with fewer assholes sniping 24/7.
-
11 RepliesAmbush scope should have very minimal flinching since A. It is a close range scope B. It has no AA
-
Make unflinching worth it, as long as they remove it from snipers.
-
3 RepliesSniper Rifles shouldn't have had Unflinching in their perk pool in the first place. The whole idea of being able to soak damage, and still consistently land that single bullet required to kill was absurd.
-
You know bungie. When they nerf they hammer that shit until it's useless and unusable. There is no balance

3 RepliesEdited by Insatiable: 10/18/2016 8:58:22 PMNo . You have take a knee. Use that . It adds 25% flinch resistance. Faster ads , better handling , etc. Flinch was the reason scrubs wouldn't use a primary except the last word and pair it with sniper. Speaking of which that gun needs to die. Every other handcannon has been out of the meta for some time . Not the last word , it's always been relevant. Even more funny how scrubs in comments complain about shotguns then use a handcannon which is a shotgun on steroids lmao. You aren't better than shotgun warriors .
-
3 RepliesOnly if they also buff High Caliber Rounds. HCR should have the intrinsic ability to also knock ANY weapon out of ADS, unless that weapon has Unflinching, at which point the reticle just gets bounced around per usual.
-
I can almost guarantee that snipers will get a buff because most streamers (who main snipers) are getting really depressed and advertising bungie's game much less... Mostly because they can't make montages on 6v6 matches while farming KD and not playing the objective ;).

19 RepliesUnflinching should be intrinsic on NLB

1 ReplyThere seem to be more than one half ass'd perk for sniper rifles. 1. Unflinching 2. Precision kills from all rounds in mag refund. 3. Invisibility after aiming for 3 seconds. That last one is a killer. I thought it might be useful picking off fallen snipers. However in the 3 seconds it takes to activate you are already dead. The best perks are now : 1. Decreased melee or grenade cool down. 2. One round refund from all precision hits. Anyone think of any others.

Unflinching is good for high rate of fire weapons not low thats it

I expect unflinching to not to cause stagger while shooting while being shot at It never seemed to help in the first place Idk might be me tho since I always used snipes in Y2 now in Y3 it's all sidearms (trespasser) and shotguns plz don't h8 :)

Is unflinching really that bad? I have it one one of my longbows and when I tried it after the nerf to see what it will do I noticed quite a bit of difference. I remember it felt like it took longer for the flinch to become unmanageable. I don't know if that was before or after it was nerfed though. I didn't even know it was nerfed XD
-
Your sniping 😍
-
As if unflinching wasn't useless enough, they nerfed it by 25% ( what the hell was it at to begin with?!) right along side the damage wobble sniper nerf.
-
I used to use snipers with shortgaze and unflinching, but after the flinch nerf I now find that ambush is the best option. Because when you flinch with ambush you flinch down, not up. Making it easy to get a toe shot and primary
-
F* you snipers, leave Unflinching nerfed as is. ;)
