Exotic factions class items as legendaries?!?!
So is anyone else who ranked up the factions kinda pissed that the exotic class items are now legendaries that drop from factions? I leveled up all the factions to 25 and did all the quests and now everyone can just get the cloaks as drops from packages. I just feel like all my work was for nothing and it makes frustrated to know that.
Edit: I am aware that they do not have the , perks that the exotic one has. And for those that say I just wanna feel "special" you're right, I wanted to feel like I achieved something that most other players didn't and be able to show off these cool items that I grinded for.
Edit: Now that I have some more time to play and get some more, cooler cloaks I am not as salty as I was before. I guess I can understand some of the positives of having a legendary counterpart. I just wish they would fix the whole spawn in animation, it makes it feel less exotic imo. Thanks to everyone who commented supporting both me and the counter argument. I was glad to see the community's opinion on the matter even if it countered my own.

No. Theirs is legendary and doesn't have the exotic perk. It's like a cheap knock off version.

Cant tell you how much time Ive been stuck to shaders that go well with red and white because I dont want to unequip my bonus new monarchy rep butt towel. I seemingly never wear any other marks or a large amount of shaders due to it

3 RepliesMy Executor's Mark is exotic. That means I get to look at THREE exotics in the menu screen. I don't know or care why, but that makes me very happy. So i don't really care who gets to use the same mark as me as long as mine stays exotic.

1 ReplyYeah, I think that was the best troll-job I've seen from them in awhile. Can we bring Year 1 items up to max light? No, but here, we made your exotic-faction item you had to donate over 9000 Spinmetal for a Legendary drop. I'm not even mad, this is what I expect. If you play this game you should expect to get your expectations trolled with each DLC, hard. Like how the vast majority of Exotic Armor released in Rise of Iron was supposed to be in The Taken King was how some was even advertised. Anything that's fun and surprising like Ether Chest racing gets removed. The sandbox team should really thank the art team for keeping their head above water, because as much fun as Destiny can be when it's honest and working, it rarely is and the art is what I come back to to keep me interested. I'm fine wasting my time, but constantly wasting my time because the developer is too lazy to keep you informed and goes out of their way to negate your time (all the Year 1 raid gear at low light for no logical reason) spent really sucks.

The exotic ones are still the best since the best gear is coming from factions, and you can re-roll for any stats you want.

You don't get the spawn effect, or the rep bonus. To me, it's good for people who like dead orbits exotic cloak look, but they're grinding new monarchy. Or just for the sake of switching, it's harmless and they don't gain the perks of it

Well.. I've only got FWC left and just got 25.. might as well do it and hope the legendary versions actually match the shaders of each faction... Talking to you D.O...
