So I got banned from Xbone Messages
There's a fireteam of 3 people at the Court of Oryx... normally you think "oh they'll be happy that another fireteam is here to help and progress together" ... they weren't. As a matter of fact after we summoned our first boss they stayed in the back of the shield, no harm at all. Until we went back and noticed all three of them at all summoning stations spamming the X button. They proceeded to do this 6 times and they let the dang runes go to waste by not approaching the portal 6 times in a row. 10 minutes of time wasted...Luckily I got a summon in, and all of a sudden they started blocking our shots and supers, pushing us off our aim so we couldn't get kills. I told my fireteam leader to leave and so we did. Then I get a message from one of them saying my Clan is gay. I still don't know why, I then proceeded to troll back. And guess what, I got banned from messaging till tomorrow. I'm not offended by what they said, but what they did. Who has the time to hinder the progress of other players? Seriously? And why can't that be a violation of the conduct?
Edit 2: he's the only one I messaged and told me he didn't report until I made him cough it up at the end.
Edit 3: Know I will report you if you do this behavior to me, you won't get a message from me. If it gets bad, I'll tell of your story here to embarrass you without your names present in respect to your anonymity.
Edit 4: He used homophobic slurs against me and my team, I reported it, yet the ban didn't happen.
Edit 5: I believe this behavior is tolerable here right Bungie?

1 ReplyAt this point in time, I just mute anyone who gets aggressive for no reason. I was having a friendly discussion over the new Iron Lord gear earlier and was asked to provide proof on it, I did, but was soon called an ass for whatever reason being.

1 ReplyYou talked shit to each other and he/she reported you first. I've banned many jerks who talked shit to me by baiting them on saying 18+ words, threatening msg's, excessive insult ((bullying)) or accusations without proof. Make sure to not say any of the above things while baiting. Or you could simply mute/block them. I only send msg's to good players saying something like "gg" or "you're awesome" any negative msg's send to me will treated as a potential ban from PSN prey.

I know that's a long shot, but it could explain why they were being jerks to your fireteam. Problem is all they had to do is send you guys a message, letting you know what combos they were looking for if that was the case. However, if all they were doing was trolling, I would have just left like you guys did. With the messaging back and forth, if you could tell that a bait was happening, what I would have done is block them and be on my way, but I tend to try to be as patient as possible with the messages (sarcasm can be your friend sometimes), as it seems to get them to either leave you be, or screw up the troll and be subject to the reporting themselves. I probably would have responded to their first message with "well thank you! 😁 we pride ourselves on our clans positivity, and it's great to get messages that support that cause. We must be really good at it for you to notice our positive outlook without a mic." Or something along those lines. Then judge what they said next to warrant a block and report, but never get yourself sucked into their terms of the conversation.
