Patch 2.4 released:
Titan: Plays PVP
Titan: Notices a slight difference in SC and skate thinks nothing of it
Bungie: releases new patch notes stating that the titan SC and skate were slightly nerfed
Bad Titans: Lose their minds and complain on the forums stating that Striker is no longer playable.
Good Titans: don't complain and still wreck in PVP.
This is true for all classes -_- The bad will always complain and remain bad, the good will always complain a little then adapt, and remain good.
Played a match of control on my Titan after the update. 22 kills 5.5 kdr. Titans still rule.
FYI I usually never play that good. Just saying they're fine
-
I didn't even Think about it before I saw a forum post 10 mins ago.
-
Right?! I main Striker Titan most of the time... Guess what? It's fine.
-
I mostly run armor, but I alternate between that and SC based on the map and team I'm up against. It hasn't affected me a great deal; the throw off is annoying, but the excuse for the nerf is even worse.
-
That's true titans are still really good no class after being nerferd is unplayable. If you liked that class so much nothing could change your view about it

1 ReplyI noticed the difference immediately since all I play is a striker Titan. Tried to sc someone, all they did was step to the side once at the last millisecond and I missed. Wat. No matter, mk's and peregrine still make the skating and sc pretty good.
-
I only used shoulder charge for speed anyway
-
Just imagine a patch mainly for warlocks.....oh wait there won't be one because even if there is one warlocks will just get on their knees for bungie and work their magic.
-
I still use defender
-
2 RepliesWhat if you are in the middle of bad or good? Does that make me a part time complainer? lol Hakuna Mutata.
-
I still do fine with my striker Titan.
-
1 ReplyThe class wasn't built off of or around SC like VF was for sunsingers. Only one other perk in the subclass had any tie to it. It does suck that the only titan boots boost SC though. Besides, none of us have Jolder's artifact, so how do you know if it would or wouldn't break the game. Bungie, who has tested it, knows better than anyone else. Remember Sunbreakers being op, but not showing up in their original stats. That's because it was a small group, and they didn't have the time to test all variables. Large groups can test all variables even faster. And if small group finds that something is broken, then a large group would find it even faster.

Yeah at first I was a little sad when they hit Shadestep but later on I realized how messed up it was having 2 rolls. So I just forgot about it and moved on.
-
I played as soon as the update dropped & didn't notice a difference. & I was using MK 44. Chased down a hunter & kneed him in the back :)

Hammer of Sol all over again
-
8 RepliesWell it's mainly the way they went about the nerf, not the nerf itself. The nerf to shoulder charge doesn't affect me to much as I main a Sunbreaker and I like Juggernaut more. So I really don't care about the nerf. I just don't like when Bungie stealth nerfs and then lies to the community to try and cover it up. Which is the case here.

2 RepliesI read the notes before playing. Didn't have an opportunity to not notice. I used to only play striker but haven't touched it much lately. The only thing that felt different was how long the charge lasted. It seemed a lot shorter. But the stand asides fix that well enough for my style, and it'll all be okay with the new artifact. And skating actually feels better, not worse. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I'm not entirely sure why titans are upset about skate. You just have to do it in another method.
-
I was unhappy when I saw the nerfs. I wasn't triggered, spitting like a dog unhappy. I haven't gotten to play to test out how impactful the nerfs were, so I'll see if I'm unhappy or not. Cheers.

Not gonna lie I would say this is true for the most part but during the hunter nerf in the June update I switched from gunslinger to blade dancer. As a long time gunslinger player they just felt too inconsistent post patch. Yes I can still do fine in pubs but when trials rolls around i ain't bout to use such an inconsistent class.
-
I noticed a huge difference right away but I knew it was coming when I learned about the insta-run artifact. I don't know fully what's coming with RoI but I have a good feeling that great things are coming for Titans.
-
Still haven't noticed a skate difference
-
2 RepliesNot true
Basically I'm waiting for my update to stop downloading. It's been 6 days!!!
2 RepliesI love people who come in kicking and screaming and have no idea what they're actually talking about. Keep making an ass out of yourself, it's fantastic! There are several reddit threads and threads on here pertaining to unannounced changes in the patch BEFORE the update. They are filled with people complaining about Striker changes that weren't mentioned. THEN bungie released the update BECAUSE of all of this.... You smaht. You loyal.

3 RepliesDamn, someone that gets it. I love my striker titan and barely even noticed the nerf. I just wish they had actually put it in the patch notes
