My hate for this Game mode is massive. Its completely broken.
Edit: To everyone saying to play with a team or don't play solo, I have friends I play with that are competent players. And No I don't solo capture unless the whole team has been wiped.

1 ReplyIf you have a team it's okay. In casual matchmaking it's not fun. In casual matchmaking AGAINST a team, it's brutal. I am really glad I did this early on when Taken King came out and I will never do it again.

If you don't have a fireteam with communication and/or experience playing salvage together, it is a miserable experience. It should be removed from Shaxx bounties for now imo. So frustrating trying for one win, always being three solo players vs a fireteam and getting destroyed.

True, they need to make it so that you don't get points for disabling. That way you still want to disable to eliminate extra points from going to the enemy team.

It's poorly designed. It's an objective playlist that punishes you if you play the objective.

The way I'd change the scoring is as follows: -Relic lasts 40s once captured -For each 10s defended, the defending team gets some points. More points for each 10s (e.g. 50/100/150/500) defended. -The attacking team gets less points for each 10s that go by without disabling (e.g. 350 in the first 10s, 250 next 10, 150 next 10, 100 last 10) -(Points would need to be tweaked, but this gives a general idea - defending should get more points than attacking) And maybe (less realistic) to stop frustrating sweat matches where nobody caps: -If no relics are captured within 5 minutes, the game ends with a loss for both teams

Its so stupid lol. Everytime i play it i never get the relic because its harder to hold it for the set time rather then just kill the people and take it. It turns into a long ass game of TDM.

Agreed. The scoring is so messed up. Nobody wants to actually capture the objective because it's faster and more lucrative to disable the probe rather than defending it.

6 RepliesI don't like the scoring on it. You get too many points for disabling a probe, and because of that it's not worth even grabbing the relics.

Agreed. It's better to let them capture then destroy. You get more points for destroying then capturing
