Any stories you can think of, funny or serious. All goes here.
To start off, I'll post one of my own.
My group started all new characters today, and we all have some or all spell casting ability. We have a Druid (former fighter), a warlock (aka me, also a former rogue), a wizard (formerly a cleric), and a bard (formerly a wizard) so I'm the only chaotic evil guy, and so I'm always doing shady stuff, lying, conspiring, really anything to get myself out of trouble. As a warlock I have excellent charisma, and so my lying abilities are through the roof. Anyway, we were in a custom adventure (the DM likes writing stories) and I lied to a spectator to bring him a staff (I wanted it for myself) and so he directed my team to the evil leader. So we were about to go down to the leader, and the bard, shoves me down a flight of stairs and I land at the bugbears feet. So then I go on lying that the spectator and everyone else was trying to kill the boss (the spectator worked for him) it did not work, as the lie got bigger, he stopped believing. That's how I died first.
Later on, after a long combat, I was negative, and I had just been stabilized. The bard kicks me in the groin, dealing 2 damage, and I died from the ensuing save against death. The moral: don't trust bards
Once again, please post your dnd experiences and stories

Edited by MacheteSquad: 8/30/2016 10:46:02 PMAll of my best stories from DnD would take too long to type on my phone. I started with 2nd edition so yes I know thac0. Needless to say the amount of stories I have played through the years is crazy when I think of it. If you like good DnD story telling though you should definitely watch Critical Role if you don't already. It airs Thursdays at 7pm pacific on Geek & Sundrys twitch. It is professional voice actors playing a homebrew campaign. It is amazing if you ask me and Matt Mercer (voice of McCree in Overwatch among many other things) is one of if not the best DM I have seen his story telling is just awesome. Check it out on YouTube to watch the campaign from episode 1.

5 RepliesMy friends and I were all playing DnD, 3 and the DM. We go through a cool campaign with a ghost stamped and we get to the final fight with a dragon. The DM makes it almost impossible to kill, then he has his character come down on a flying horse to help. He one shots it. Yes the DM did this. Next part other friend DMs and the last DMs character was ass. He cheated.

3 RepliesMy campaign ended so my friends went home. The next day my friend Will was missing. We went to find him in the woods where he was last seen and we found this girl named Eleven. We took her to my house and took care of her. She has this power to move things with her mind. We eventually found out that my friend Will was in an alternate dimension. A monster came after us and Eleven sacrificed herself to save us. Our parents found us and told us the Will was back

I was running a short campaign. The team got to the Necros tower. Freed the hostages. Then they ran up to the top to face the Necro. I was describing the door that lead to the room. Down to three last detail. How evil and dark it was. Then the wind slammed a door in the house and everyone freaked out. I like describing dark and sinister looking things in campaigns. It's fun seeing my friends getting a thrill from my story telling.

1 ReplyAlright, here's the third act of a campaign I talked about in the thread that's in the above link. Here's the cast this time around:
Player Controlled: -My tengu rogue -a part whale, part dragon, humanoid Mage. -a human vigilante combat bard -the mage's girlfriend, the daughter of a character from a different campaign in the "same universe." She's half half elf, half half Orc, and all fighter. -a spirit that inhabits and controls two swords. DM controlled: -the Hedge Wizard, an ancient, godlike caster, who doubles as a macguffin. -a cyborg razorgirl who is sorta the girlfriend of the bard. Guest star: -the DM's wife was playing a spellslinger for a small part you'll see where and what a spellslinger is exactly soon enough.
Allow me to provide a small recap. Our heroes were looking for and found a mayor for this rather small town. When we reunited him we found out the town got displaced on a planar level while we were gone, and only the hedge wizard remained. He said he could find the city again with enough magic, so we hunted down a large source of mana cores for him to drain. He did so and that's how act 2 ended. Here was where the story got weirder. So last act our characters ended with them all mid-transit to another plane or universe. I joked that we'd end up in the Deadlands universe instead or something. I was right. Our heroes all spawned in a town that was arranged like the town we were looking for, but we noted enough subtle differences to know it wasn't our goal. Good thing too since the town as in ruin. We couldn't find anything but dust and rubble until one of us saw a person. All attempts to pursue found nothing, he or she vanished into thin air, leaving only a flyer behind. It was something about oriental medicine that some guy was selling in a place called Mesa City. We figured we could get our bearing of where we exactly were there, and we saw a Mesa in the distance, so we started walking. Mesa city was rather small itself. Had a train station, a river with a bridge, an inn, and some other buildings. The sheriff didn't seem too phased at seeing our mostly inhuman cast (if you count the spirit has a non-human despite his human past), she even thought my character may have been a friend of the guy in the advertisement we found. She told us where everything was and not to cause any trouble. This is a short part now but I'll do a continuation soon enough.

I don't play dudes n drag...
only do that solo😉...
Does the "Neverwinter" mmo count? Otherwise I've never played DnD.

4 RepliesI've only played DnD once, but I had a fun experience with that kind of Roleplaying. We used the Mines of Phandelver starter pack, and in the beginning, you come across a horse filled with arrows. Then you're ambushed. My character, Ben Dover the Brave, rushed to the horse, and attempted to wear it's corpse as armor. The DM said that if I rolled a 20, then I could use the horse as armor. I rolled a twenty. And thus, I beat the entire storyline while wearing a horse's corpse. And yes, I climbed into it. Don't ask how.

I once had a 10' tall Warforge Warden that speked only into bullrush. He was 2000lb with a 700lb steel towershield. My dm got mad cuz he was a physics student and always used physics in his games and I kept killing his bosses in a single hit. My character could move at 30 spaces in a single turn. So 150 feet in a second with 2700lb wall of metal smashing into you.

Edited by Lordbakon: 8/29/2016 6:24:45 PMOk, I didn't play DnD, but I posting my story anyways. Now, my friends and I played a role playing game called Palladium. It's very similar, but while different universe with different races and classes and shit. NOW, LETS BEGIN! Cast:
Our warlock, me. I could use earth and fire spells and was a race known as a Gosai. My guy was really cool, like he could naturally jump 30ft and had claws and a 4D6 damage drop kick, but the one drawback was I was hurt ever time I touched metal. So staffs for me. My friend, who was our fighter. He was a Jeridu, similar to an elf but he had six arms and got really lucky with a strength roll. He found two small shields and two claymores... Yeah. And he was good looking. (I was faster tho) My other friend, who was out mind Mage (psionic) who could heal us, set people on fire, and cause them to become blind, deaf, mute, etc for a bit. Really funny actually, and he was a changing. So he could look like different things. He looked like a -blam!-ing werewolf.
Alright, so, for one mission we were sent to clear out a bandit camp. Nothing too special. Well I'll just fast forward a bit and give you a rundown. We found out that they were sacrificing people to a demon and we were like '-blam!- it lets fight it.' So, we got in a ways, came across mostly bandits, some reanimated dead, hat stuff. Had so,e really cool over kill moments though. Our mind age had more or less a sledge hammer that he could throw, and took off two guys heads with it. 20 for both hits. Or the time that I kicked a guy, and not only shattered his rib-cage but sent his ribs out the back (he had 1 hit point left and I got a natural 20). Best part was an ogre we fought through. Our Jeridu executed it by dosing the following: HE HURLED HIS SWORDS INTO ITS SHOLDURS, RAN UP TO IT, KICKED IT, FLIPPED AND GRABS HIS SWORDS, BEFORE WOUNG THM AGAIN AT IT. please note the ogre was nearly 8/9 feet tall so it was a bit cooler cause it was semi-possible. Other than that I conjured a block of stone above some guys and crushed them. And I got a cool spear, so the metal never touched me which made me a badass

I never played much, but this one time I killed a beggar for asking me for gold and the dm sent in another beggar, which I also killed. He ended up sending in 4 or 5 soon to be dead beggars and then got tired and sent an army of them to beat me to death.

Edited by Rimidalv Nisom: 8/29/2016 12:55:41 PMA bit of back story on this: I decided one night that I would attempt a Fallout PnP session with my 8 year-old brother. Well we eventually got to it and this is what happened. The story of how Dwayne ruined everything: Cast:
-CPU the humanoid robot (My brother) -Dwayne the one-eyed Super Mutant (Me)
So we were going to Shady Sands to get rid of a man who was causing a mafia family a great deal of trouble. Well on our way there we encountered some highwaymen demanding our gear and money. Well we weren't having any of that so combat starts and they start advancing along with the leader's dog who goes after the my brother. What does Dwayne do? Well I rolled a d100 and landed on a number below my character's luck so I get a critical. I roll again for critical damage and I get an 8. So Dwayne the Super Mutant being the best party member aims his LMG at the highwaymen, fires a 10-round burst at the three, and kills them all. Meanwhile CPU is busy trying to kill a dog with a lead pipe. And then there was a time my brother's character kept missing a thug at point blank with a sledgehammer and when he did get a hit he failed a luck check due to one of his traits and kept losing his turns.

1 ReplyI've...actually never played DND :/

2 RepliesOnce I was leading a party of novice adventurers through the canyons of wardenfell, out of seemingly no where we were jumped by horde of dragonborn savages who wanted to eat our men and -blam!- our women. As our intrepid leader I had but one moment to save us from certain death. So I did what many great men have done. I cast an illusion spell then ran like hell!

3 RepliesI oughta post the third act of a campaign I told about in a previous thread for DnD stories on here, but dammit I need to sleep. Reply later and I'll see if I have the time.

3 RepliesI play with my uncle and his family and my sister, so that's 3 adults, a teen, and 3 children. My uncle is the DM, and he gave a magic ring to the 11 year old who immediately began using it with no idea what it would do. He just points it at something, and the DM rolls like 5 die to find out what happens. First use: sphere of blindness 2 lightning 3 gravy was summoned to blast our goes off their feet 4 cart and horse conjured into existence from the sky 5 gave the barbarian antlers

Last session my group befriended a giant maggot and it is now part of the party. Never thought they would try petting it with magic hand but now it's like a pet cat.

I love the manager special from D&D with an Arnold Palmer to drink... Oh you mean Dungeon and Dragons, carry on

I hadn't played D&D is decades...a few years ago I was browsing eBay and some "crystal dice"...the memories came flooding back. A week later I had purchased 2nd addition Basic and Expert sets, a whole bunch a modules and was creating maps on graph paper . I introduced the game to my nephews (12 and 9) and , surprisingly they loved it! I drew their characters on my Intuos and created a backstory for them...I have helped them expose their inner nerd...FOREVER. There is no more creative and imaginitive game ...thank you Gary Gygax. RIP.

2 RepliesWell, my friends and I died due to a Demigorgon, then 1 of those friends got abducted in the woods on his bike ride home.
