Yr 2 Trials = Cancer
Seriously. And I've probably made who knows how many posts about this, and so have others, but year 1 Trials was so much more fun. Sure sometimes you might have a bad game and get absolutely rekt, but sometimes you could breeze through. Now with the round/win based matchmaking, every single game is super sweaty and filled with the worst human beings in the universe.
I can play Destiny for a month and love it, but one passage of Trials and I want to throw my PS4 in the yard and burn it.

4 RepliesTrials is the toughest game mode in the game! You should never be "breezing through it" I get that the win/round actually sucks but tbh it's more fair that way It's a challenge I'm willing to take, although I actually suck I still enjoy it

2 RepliesI want to get a 9-0 run so bad, but the people who play it ruin it for everyone. Asking for money to "guarantee" a flawless run, raffling on streams to bait more undeserved viewers, and people having EXTREMELY STRICT requirements for them to join their fireteams. I always get the "Don't Suck" argument, but that's practically inevitable with how awful the Trials system is! Given that I didn't bother with this sweaty piece of junk back when House of Wolves came out, I can see why some would turn the other way in my argument. I think Trials is trash. Screw it and screw everyone who values it like some sort of daily job. Period. Going Flawless is nothing but utter bragging rights in my eyes.

I took data from over 50 games, random people at random ELO and only 5% of the matches were played by teams against other teams within +-100 ELO. A staggering number of matches were teams that were completely mismatched. Over 50% were teams +-500 ELO. That's entirely different leagues. If it did do that, skill should trump card. As you win more matches and ascend the ranks, you would play better and better people throughout. Not within a card, but after each card if you keep leveling up, each card should get harder. Going 8-0 and playing guys in the top 1% of the game when you are barely top 10%....that's unacceptable. It's led to incredibly poor experiences. I hear that year 3 is bringing about no boons and getting to 5 gets you to lighthouse...what we need is skill based for this, not card based if you want games that are close.

From a PVE players perspective I can tell you Trials has never seemed less worth playing than Y2. Year 1 was at least a hearty challenge where you felt like there was a chance. Y2 is a sweaty mess where players like me need to be carried by two other sweaty a$$ players just to have a chance lol I get it that's it's an elite crucible area but when most people playing are the ones who only ever play Trials, it gets old lol

Well when everyone uses snipers 1 round lasts like 6 days. I go up against streamers more than I do with casual players.

Trials is meant to be a very competitive playlist, not a casual playlist like clash. If you want to succeed, you better be able to work for it
