-Item to drop
-multiple perks per item
-attribute stats/points (intellect discipline and strength) & having them drop high enough for tier 12 or current highest.
-light level
About 1000 hours for first gjally, about 5-6 months to get warlock gauntlets from vog. I am trying to get the taken emote. Been opening the 3 packages each week on my hunter for a long while now. Still no full taken set... Been getting many Spektar drops for my Titan though :-// Don't even get me started on Pariah gear & how you can't use chroma on it.. :-'((
We all know it's used to increase play time & the grind, old news.
Now that destiny is finally going to have the amount of content it should have launched with, you can worry less about desperately achieving max playtime from us by using cheap tactics, like excruciatingly terrible drops & rng, or removal of elemental from primaries ~ we know Luke Smith wanted to create weapon diversity by adding boring reskins with less effective perks & ability.
Remember when we could hold more primary, special, & heavy ammo. Now it's weapon specific. Same with reload speed I think, could be wrong about that. You could also have increased grenade throw distance & fast melee on helmet & gauntlets. Now we have shield or health Regen upon orb pick up. lol . Usually your picking up orbs when the enemies are dead, & even if you pick an orb up upfront of an enemy, the Regen instantly stops when hit by anything.
TLDR: Can we please have a weapon & armor smith/npc that can help us customize gear the way WE (not Bungie) want, with the perks/stats/attribute points we choose. We should be able to earn it &/or buy it.

1 ReplyI feel ya about the taken armour. Still waiting for helmet do drop for my titan. Sick and tired of the crappy spektar gear that reward you chroma when you dismantle. - 44 Yellow - 33 Blue - 16 White - 27 Red - 10 Magenta - 6 Green - 6 Orange I have friend that left the game in March and came back in July, all they did was open the free packages they were rewarded at the postmaster while they were even playing the game and guess what! Full Armor on first try..........seems legit and fair considering that i also spent £10 and got nothing.

3 RepliesI would love to be able to craft my own gear. Make it long, hard, and arduous, but still engaging while collect materials. Give us a plethora of great perks to choose from so everyone is powerful, yet different. I don't want to see everyone running around with kneepads and rifled barrel again (or whatever the god rolls were from y1). Everyone has their own playstyle, let us choose our perks based on what we feel works best for us. Taking weeks to craft the perfect weapon or chest plate suited perfectly to our gameplay would allow us to really feel like we accomplished something truly worthy of our time. Getting lucky with a god roll weapon from an activity we've done 1000 times brings relief, not a feeling of triumph.

I find it funny how casuals who have never played trials or have done a raid are able to be max light, yet were still chasing this mythical carrot that is RNG to find a half decent roll on most of the shite weapons to make them somewhat viable to use (only to be nerfed shortly after acquiring them).

2 RepliesThat's why HoW was the best. The wonderful reforging. Too bad though. There are some people who literally play just to grind, and the shitty RNG system is way cheaper than actually creating new content so Bungie loves it too. Might as well forget about it.

1 ReplyWeapons should drop at a random light lvl is say within 20 light of your level. The stats are hard to argue. You can take a handful of my friends and we all have a different favorite perk and we all think differently about certain perks. I think the rng has to be more not random but it's hard to say how it would work. I still think we need to reroll weapons but only one perk not both.

2 RepliesI get the frustration, but at this point...people are complaining about getting too much armor from faction packages, it's a very saturated market...if you will. After the April update, there really isn't much of a grind left in the game...at least compared to Y1. Loot, particularly armor, drops a whole lot. As far as specialized perks go... I know they aren't as easy as the blanket "special ammo" perks, but in the end I think it speaks to our legend to have the armor that matches our weapons of choice. So in a romantic sense, I appreciate it.

1 ReplyI'm almost sure all tier 11/12 will get downgraded to 8/9 when RoI releases to balance the status. Just a hunch.

3 RepliesI don't know if it works or not, but it appeared to me that if you opened the treasure packages when you fly into the Tower you get a better chance at taken armor. Don't pick up bounties. Getting the packages from the vault didn't seem to lessen the chance at taken armor. Good luck.

18 Repliesheres the thing though: drops are pretty easy to come by. its not like WoW where loot is accrued by measurements of months, but only a single week, at longest. you can raid once each week per character with a reliable drop method thrown in, as well as NUMEROUS ways of getting more loot. everything else is specifically min/maxing, where you optimize your gear at 100%, where-as if you otherwise just casually amass it its at 80% efficiency, at the absolute lowest. i rock a complete set of armor for each subclass, with each guardian sporting at least on legendary weapon of each type, so my min/max is at about 90%, and ive been taking my sweet donkey time getting up there in LL. point is, we dont need everything handed to us day 1 of max LL.

2 RepliesGot to hate the RNG in this game. Has..not...changed a bit for me. I guess that smart RNG they were talking about was/is a myth. Bump btw.

4 RepliesI agree bring back reforge getting a reward with a rubbish roll is not a reward bungie

2 RepliesEdited by ironBill: 8/27/2016 3:25:17 PMI am absolutely for this. Bring back reforge! At the very least get rid of pointless perks that are guaranteed to make trash guns. I proffer this idea; one of the reasons people wind up trying to get God rolls is because so many perks are junk. That leaves precious few combinations that are worth having. In short, Bungie again creates a meta by elevating some perks and diminishing others. You'll never get people to voluntarily go for the junk perks, so why have them? If all perks are worth having, people will hang with different combinations. Boom. Bungie gets its variety straight from RNG. Edited for horrendous grammar.

5 Repliesamen to this. its bad enough guns like the luna and pc+1 drop so rare but when they do drop and the roll is awful you really really fell like you've kicked in the nuts. you know that you are probaly gonna drop every other gun between again till you drop another one. works out around 4 hours per legendary in crucible and there has to be like 10 guns before you hopefully drop another one. 44 hours of crucible later another bad roll. in 11 months I have dropped 1 luna which luckily had rifled barrel on which makes it good but the other two perks are basically useless. but the rifled barrel makes that not so bad. the pc+1 I didnt drop any for 6 months then have dropped 5 in the last 5 months due to the fact I have been grinding like crazy for one. all of them are either max stability or max reload speed lol. none with a range build at all which means none of the 5 are in any way viable in crucible. The guns are now approaching a balanced state so reforge is needed.

1 ReplyWell he system benefits some like me with my first party crashes drop being flawlessly rolled
you probably want to kill me
1 ReplyI agree with you Destinys rng is so annoying.

You haven't played the division if you think Destiny's RNG system is bad!

9 RepliesVery, very rare that I get any strike or Crucible specific drops. Then when I do it has Exhumed or the Fireteam specific perk. VERY FRUSTRATING. Warlocks got nerfed due to frustration. How about you (Bungie) look at what is ACTUALLY frustrating.

Remember when we could hold more primary, special, & heavy ammo. Now it's weapon specific. Same with reload speed I think, could be wrong about that.
That was primarily raid armor, for both.
