My question is which is more competitive, which is harder to maintain a positive PvP kill/death ratio?
I personally believe that players looking for a competitive setting flock toward Xbox and that PlayStation is more for the casual and family oriented. Please ignore all other gaming consoles for this poll, no matter how great they are/were.
Just want to see if this can get some feedback because I see a lot of PlayStation users with very high K/D ratios and believe that if someone with good skill and competitive nature play on a system that generally does not have a player base similar to that they will obviously seem much better.
Further more I question these montages we have seen so much of. First, in how many games does it take one to get a kill feed worthy of the video. Second, who are these players they are killing? If their K/D, or elo is equal to that of the montage posters then yes, wow, but if they are far, far below then really I'm not impressed.
I would also like to point out that I am no PvP god. Anyone with similar skill on Xbox One feel free to add me, I play crucible to win and am always looking for allies. (also note my work schedule is night shift and I'm online mostly Saturday through Tuesday)
Thanks and keep it civil please.
EDIT: So I think I should try to clear something up. Looking at both consoles which has the highest ratio of competitive players to casual players?

I don't care and I truly wish that I could play on my xbox one and join some of my ps4 friends. That would be the best thing ever since the previous best thing ever.... whatever that best thing was.

In my experience, im 28 btw and been playing games since super nintendo, it seems to me that people who play competitivly play on xbox. People who want to have fun play on playstation. I have a xbox 360, xbox one, and a ps3

11 RepliesLol really? Xbox ? Give me a break. Look at the big streamers. What system do they play on?

"East side is da best!" "West side is da best!" Sorry, thought this was a stupid argument post.
can you name the movie?
-
2 RepliesXb1 is more competitive because it's the same 100 players battling each other over and over again.
-
2 RepliesThe reason Xbox is so competitive is that they have more 13 year olds trying to prove how big their dick is.
-
This is dumb
-
They are the same. I don't see why everything thinks the two consoles are so different.
-
4 RepliesThere are good players on both consoles. To say one has "better" players than the other is one of the dumbest things I've read on here and there is some real dumb stuff on here. Please take this post down. So stupid.

6 RepliesWhat is the idea that ps4 is casual and xbone is competitive based on? Halo?

I was a bad ass on my Game Boy rocking Tetris back in the day.

3 RepliesI like my N64

17 RepliesIt's never one or the other. PS has better specs (until Scorpio is released) while Xbox has a better UI, in my opinion, and a superior controller design. It's just preferences. I'm just curious to see what Sony does once Xbox regains control of having the superior system. Only thing they have over Microsoft right now is a better spec'd system and better/more exclusives. With Microsoft putting a ton of money back into gaming it seems, I can't help but feel like they're going to push Sony back into second place, like with the 360 and PS3. In the end, I just really hope Sony and Microsoft can work out cross-platform together. Then all would be swell.

In all reality, I really just want all the special exclusive shit PS gets for destiny lol
-
I'd say Xbox. A lot of players here come from CoD.

I play on both consoles as well, has anyone noticed that if you play on dual shock 4 controller your finger tends to slip a lot on the trigger on the right? Does it happen to anyone else or do I have butter fingers? I have more control on the Xbox One triggers because it has a better trigger design that allows you to have more control. What do you guys think?

I like both but ps4 is less of a pain.

1 ReplyPlayed with my cousin on ps4 it's definitely less sweaty. Easily went 4.0 in multiple games. But that could have been sbmm but did the same thing in yr1.
-
Honestly most competitive crowd flock to PC and play PC games
-
We all know the competitive players are on the SEGA Dreamcast. It's just common sense.

True MLG players compete on the 32x

Wow 💩 ........... 🙀

1 ReplyMost of the people I watch on YouTube are on PlayStation, likely because of the timed exclusives. I only own the ps4, so I wouldn't know, but at launch the ps4 was arguably the better system purely for gaming in terms of graphics, processing power, and the general stance of the company, so I'd be very surprised if such a great number of the "hard core" gamers went Xbone. Xbone wanted to be the center of the living room and all, so I don't know how that is somehow less family oriented than a focus on gaming. It doesn't mean much, just that I think you have it backwards using that line of reasoning. There's enough people on both systems that I doubt it makes a significant difference in anyone's kd, and even if it did, that would be really hard to prove anyway.

Edited by MenTaL9R: 7/27/2016 7:02:50 AMOK well read a lot of the comments (not all) and didn't notice one that was by someone with both consoles and that regularly plays Destiny on both (may have missed it). I do however. That said, I'll admit I'm not a great PvP player by any means but I'm okay and from my experience I can honestly say I don't notice a real difference. If it means anything my K/D is slightly better on my XBO. My opinion on the consoles themselves... in the beginning it was PS4 all the way but in the last year and a half I've been very impressed with what MS has done to improve the XBO. If I was recommending one today, I say XBO. Sony has sat on their lead while MS has had to work to try to make up for their initial cluster *blam* pre-launch and it shows.

*cough* pc

The same? Also doesn't skill based matchmaking kinda make this question completely null anyways?
