Sooo, I live in a 3rd world country with decent internet connection which sometimes randomly drops.
But since I live halfway across the globe in the Middle East my pings to people in US are pathetic which causes crap ton of lag.
The pings aren't that bad to EU but they do go at 100+ easily just because of the distance between my country and the region I'm match made in.
I usually play with people in EU to minimize lag so I don't cause much problems to others. I mainly focus PvP, heck I can't even remember the last time I did a PvE raid.
But trials fire team consist of people all around the globe. To teams which have a EU host but one member is US, I'll lag for them. I know its annoying for them, but I really can't help it.
I bought this game for PvP, and now I have been banned for 2 months because my internet connection is unstable? I run a 15 Down 10 Up connection. And usually all matches are lagless except for a few where the EU host has people in his fire team from US. In those cases, I drop yellow to red bars in this lobby.
Let me just get to the point, so Bungie is basically penalizing me for living in a 3rd world country, and I'm not allowed to PvP because I live here? I'm really not freaking moving to US just because of this game. I really wish I could, but no, I don't have the resources for it.
I main PvP, and now I can't access it because my country has bad pings to people in US. I really can't help it and if I could I would.
I stream so, my past broadcasts can easily testify my connection not being bad to people in EU because I hold a greenbar for them.
I paid for this game and If I can't access a major part of it just because I live here. I am pissed. So I'm getting penalized for basically being born in a 3rd world country with bad internet. Believe me, I have got the best Internet in the country you can buy.
I would really like some help here because this is utter bullcrap.

1 ReplyDid you receive a ban or restriction? Bans are permanent, restrictions are temporary. Bungie does not discuss or overturn either, so they will not remove it. You have to wait until the time expires. Please read the Destiny Account Restrictions and Banning Policies for more details. You most likely received a restriction for bad internet. Having a poor connection can hurt the game for others, which is why receiving a restriction is possible for this. If you're using Wifi, please switch to a hardwired connection if possible. Also, check out the Network Troubleshooting Guide.[

7 RepliesSo, from the 15 or so of your trials matches I checked, about half ended before round five. If your connection is bad enough to cause this, you deserve a restriction. If it's intentional, you should be permanently banned.

6 RepliesThis is, most certainly, not a " the world against flaws" initiative, and I absolutely doubt that you are restricted because you have been born in a particular country. Or why you live in one such. Bungie, as any other firm, is just striving to keep up a coherent experience for all its clients, and you are having a negative impact on this. Hence the restriction.

1 ReplyEdited by OOOOF: 7/13/2016 11:45:13 AMIm from eu and people from saudi arabia that i see lag all the time actually. When i play with them, i have the lag advantage lol

3 RepliesHow do you know what country or continent the people you're playing are from? And how do you supposedly choose to mostly play with people from certain places? I'm curious whether we really have that visibility or control... if so how? (Are you on xbox or ps?

Typical lag switcher noob, thinking that the devs are stupid. Hope they ban you forever.

16 RepliesIt sounds you may have been reported due to poor connection. Anytime you stream while playing this will degrade your connection significantly. Try here for connection: https://www.bungie.net/en/Support/Troubleshoot?oid=12915 Try here for restriction ban help: https://www.bungie.net/en/help/article/11929
