There are some signs now that they may not be leaving. They have to trigger article 50 before they can leave the people that are going to be taking over arnt going to do that until they get good terms which they won't get... I wouldn't be surprised if they, in a year or two, put it up for another referendum the saying we're out on these terms do you want to leave or not on these terms, the terms would be terrible Ie trade taxes, no access to the EU, or full access to the free-trade Zone but you have to pay to the EU and accept free movement of people without any representation (norway's deal) the people won't accept that probably. Also the a complete breakup of the EU is also a possibility. The UK would get closer to what they wanted if this happened then anything else. Although the last time Europe was divided and nationalism was high it ended in 20 million dead so we'll see what happens.

  • I feel like their tourism is going to be shot. My last trip to Europe I went to London, France, Italy, and the Vatican. If I now have to pretty much choose between the former one and the latter three since I can't travel between England and the others freely anymore, I'm definitely going to choose the latter three... eh.

    • I'm an American so I don't know the full situation. All I know is that it's the millennials vs everyone else, or something like that. From what I've heard, the Euro was not in a good place, and if this is true, I think it'd be a good idea to leave before it crumbled with Great Britain in it. I've also heard about Britain wanting to reinforce its borders or something along the lines of that. And that's understandable with the attacks in the last year on Europe such as the Paris shooting or the New Year's Eve attacks on Köln, Germany (I think that's how you spell it.) If I'm wrong about anything, please feel free to correct me.

Only benefits Right Wing politics and their racist laws. I feel so sorry for the future generations for Britain. Seniors over 65 shouldn't really vote, as what they are voting for effects younger generations, and seniors in Britain were actually looked after quite well within the EU, but from what I can grasp.. there was a lot of fear mongering with the immigrant policies.. hence why so many voted to leave.. which is sad really.. Imagine no country or borders, or no religion, Imagine all the people.. living for today.. That's all you can really do..

I think this was a terrible idea on their part. They are going to suffer from a recession soon. Even Richard Branson thinks so. He had to cancel an acquisition and as a result of the Brexit, Virgin has lost a third of its value according to him. If THE Richard Branson senses economic problems in the future, then the brexit truly was a mistake.

          • I'm actually really happy that we're leaving. My friend was pissed off about it though, she asked me why I'm happy about it, I give reason, she call me racist. So according to her, more than half of the UK is racist, only because they chose the 'leave' option. She has a broken nose now.

              • We had a weak prime minister who resigned as soon as the shit hit the fan so that was one good reason .we need to hold a general election to vote in the most suitable candidate to lead us through this shitstorm rather than have some self elected dickhead like boris Johnson or George Osborne take the lead but at the moment we feel a little clueless (or I do).

Put it this way.. would you want the Americas governd by one huge treaty which said no matter how well the USA is doing, they ALWAYS have to finacialy support Mexico/South America AND have to let them live in your country.

                    • I'm glad we've freed ourselves of those champagne socialists in Brussels. Although if Scotland opts to leave the UK, it would be disappointing to say the least. I doubt it will happen though- Scotland trades 4x more with the rest of the UK than it does with the EU, and plummeting oil prices mean Scotland's primary asset is worth much less. Scotland must decide whether they'd rather be governed from London, or Brussels.

                    • Well Brexit might not happen after call. The Scottish parliament have found a loophole in clause 50 of the Lisbon treaty which states all parliment(s) of the country leaving have to agree to before the exiting nation begins the process. So in theory Scotland can veto Brexit.
