Apparently "in all THY SONS command" is sexist
So they changed it to "in all of US command"
I'm not even pissed that it was changed. However, I am pissed that they killed grammar in the process.
It should have been "in all of OUR COMMANDS"
If you're not a grammar -godwinslaw!- chances are you'll think I'm crazy.

If I actually remembered it, I'm sure this would stir up some sort of feeling.

It's all been a ploy from america. US. Get it?
-
Still waiting for the pledge of allegiance to go back to how it used to be.
-
That's because they answer to US command. Finally they acknowledge their superiors.

most of you guys complaining aren't even from Canada jfc

I'm never standing for the "anthem" again
-
Unless Canada has gotten rid of the draft, this change is EXTREMELY degrading to the men who are forced to sign papers they don't even necessarily agree with.
-
Wait, it seriously got changed?!?!?!

1 ReplyIs it wrong that I want to burn Pissboy Trudeau alive?

No. If you listened to the whole of the anthem rather than just part of one line you'd understand the meaning... "O Canada! Our home and native land! True patriot love in all thy sons command." Meaning that it is Canada that commands true patriot love from all its sons. Recognising the other 51% of the population by changing "thy sons" to "of us" does not alter the grammar.

For fuсk's sake. This shit has to stop.

so what's next? the US national anthem? the song; America the Beautiful? the pledge of allegiance? the US constitution? all of which use men as the noun instead of people btw
