They acted as stickies for TWO YEARS. They have stuck to everything and everyone has been ok with it for so long, and now that bungie says that "that's not how they were intended to be used." Everybody is suddenly ok with it? That's bullshit, and you all know it, if they weren't intended to work like that they would have changed them a month after release. Not to mention that they actually took skill/luck to stick to people because they had NO AIM ASSIST.
Okay I'm sorry for the confusing title. I'm basically saying that if it's supposed to be a trap then there shouldn't be such a huge indicator of where it's been placed, that's all I'm saying

It's become glaringly obvious that Bungie feels the Hunter subclass in general shouldn't be around.
-
Oh look, a hunter is crying in the forums. That's something new.
-
Trip mine The name says it all
-
I almost solely got tripmine kills via sticking it directly on their faces (and got numerous suicides as a result). Grenade kills, you will be missed...
-
2 RepliesGreat idea bungee! I love it! In fact why don't you remove supers entirely from the game, lower the height in which you can jump to a normal persons jump, add a couple of kill streaks, partner with Activision or treyarch and make a new call of duty you stupid pricks! :)
-
2 RepliesYeah the two year business is completely ridiculous. I actually don't understand why people keep playing this game. Other games are designed for you to play however you like
-
5 RepliesThis (x1000) I actually used the Swarm grenades for a while because the trip mine sucked...until I found the joy that was sticking people in the face or crotch with one. It's sad that something which was never once bitched about (a miracle in these forums) is something Bungie decides to make completely worthless.
-
10 RepliesFor the record, they've already nerfed the flux grenade too.
-
Lol, sure kid.
-
I use my hunter as my 2nd character, and I loved to go around sticking things with trip mines, I'm disappointed that bungie has to remove the sticking effect, my first character is a warlock, so I feel I've been -blam!- twice !
-
1 ReplyHunter got so many things nerfed they got destroyed this last update, well deserved nerfing.
I swear you got so mad reading this only to read this spoiler with the sole intent to argue 😏
~I'll Ram your ass!
-
Just saying, but the name Tripmine suggests trap. Not disagreeing about the changes or whatever, i could care less, ill just use a different 'nade.
-
All sticky nades should stop sticking they are broken bungie please nerf.
-
Bump. Nobody complained about them. Bring them back!
-
Edited by Treuersy: 6/16/2016 8:16:48 AMThe only problem I have with this is that bungie are like fusion grenades are for sticking. The tripmine is the only sticky hunter grenade! (Unless of course you're including the shitty flux grenade) Like seriously if you are going to take out the stickiness of the tripmine, take out the shitty swarm grenade and replace it with a fusion.
-
I can't unicorn any more people!
-
They trip, and they are mine, like in "this shite is mine". So, trip all over mine traps. (It's a joke, you know.)
-
Nerf the beacon!
-
1 ReplyEdited by JustaaCasual: 6/16/2016 7:11:25 AMTrip mines are meant to be traps. That's why there is exotic gauntlets that extend the duration of a trip mine. "But it has a beacon on it" No shit! Do you know how broken it would be if there was no indicator where a trip mine was? You don't think people would complain? The reason the beacon is there to give players a chance to spot the trip mine before walking straight into it.

1st There's a medal called "get it off me" Why cause it could stick to people You would get rewarded for it 2nd It's camouflage sucks if it's supposed to be a "trap" then it sucks at it, imagine b on rusted lands a giant red laser is showing from the side of the door to the stairs leading outside, now its supposed to be a "traps right, nope easily shot and destroyed 3rd If it's a "trap" then why the -blam!- is it so weak ( pre nerf and post nerf ) a titan easily passes by it and he has a sliver of health Or Let's not forget the most frustrating one to all!!!hunters when they pass by it and it doesn't detonate till afterwards when they are gone 4th Swarm grenade isn't the best even with buffs it still not that good.(doesn't fit me at least.) I personally prefer the tripmine, and now since they ninja nerfed the incendiary nades hunters are sorta of forced to use the swarm In conclusion any hunter knows that the tripmine was the best choice of grenade There is a medal for getting it sticked and not to mention that it took skill to stick it, the tripmine was always weak and it's not able to set up a trap with its "tripwire" being brighter than my future I've used it since I started playing and honestly it was my go to choice sad to see it gone now
-
Then the name would be misleading. Mines don't stick to people. Neither on the walls.
-
Bump. Point is exactly correct. Just because they dont like how people use it (abuse it according to bungie "stats") all they need to say is thats not what we intended. That just means a new vision under new leadership or something. Very poor comm. Nothing in the game is intended thwy just change it bc they bored or it gives them job security.

3 RepliesPart of me says hunters need to stop crying, but part of me agrees. They're call TRIP MINES obviously not supposed to be sticky nades. But then yes. They've functioned they way they have for almost 2 years. Yes you have to be super accurate. They don't have any magnetism like fusions do (which is sometimes absurd). Sticking a trip mine felt gratifying, and when I died to it, I usually thought "hmm, nice throw" And yea, for a trap, have a big ass flashing line on it isn't a very good trap. They should be cloaked if anything I believe that trip mines did NOT function like they were designed to, but I also feel it was way to late in the game to admit that and rectify it. And besides, I have nothing against hunters, but your guy's grenades are -blam!-ing aweful, there are so few grenades that are even worth a damn to use as a hunter. But this is just one guy's opinion. Take it as you will.
-
1 ReplyI never knew they stuck to you....
-
I don't think it should stick like the other wall nades. But the damage nerf was uncalled for. I actually thought damage should have been increased so it could kill even if someone is running max armor.
-
A trap would definitely have a beacon on it...
