Once I reach Rank 5 in IB, can I just grab the shader & emblem and never have to do this again?
Just made it to Rank 5 in IB, got Goldspiral and The Ironwood Tree.
Only gave a crap about getting to rank 5 so that I could get the shader & emblem. I don't actually like them, I just didn't want to have to do it again.
So...is there anything besides the shader and emblem that I NEED to get to Rank 5 in IB in order to obtain?

Ships drop randomly. Besides that all of the armour and weapons. More importantly what was the issue? Why did you not enjoy your time in iron banner?

I kept playing not a fan of the shades and I bought the sidearm even though I was rewarded a couple of them including a post rank five 331...what bugged me was at rank three I got a 320 ghost and that dirge ring when I had a ghost ranked higher and a higher articfact... And I got several of the fusion rifles which I didn't mind I'll infuse the extras into my shotty and snipers... I was happy as hell I got the iron banner ship, I also had some good positive k/d games and finished losing 5 straight so I have medals to redeem plus a weekly and some dailies saved... Hopefully next banner they have the helmet I want to complete my set... Much better banner then the previous one reward wise

9 RepliesI still play after rank five. Great drops and less stress. I'm not worried about a 16 game losing streak or anything. Also I complete bounties and save them for the next one.

Buy the shader and emblem. Because next month you're gonna need em.

4 RepliesI've never tested this out as I'm more of a PVE player, but my buddy plays PVP all the time. He says that after you've hit rank 5 the drops are way better in the matches afterward. That's the reason he keeps playing. No idea as to the validity of that but there it is.

The shader and emblem disappear when IB ends and you gave to wait till next time to rank up and buy them again. ... kidding :) Your rank will reset to 0, but if you truly only want the shader and emblem, mission accomplished. You never have to do it again.

If your never doing it again why do you need the shader and emblem that boost your IBM rep?

The rank five package can contain up to a 335 piece of gear. You also get the ghost from it. Other than that unless you want to buy the gun for rank five you don't need to do it. I don't like PvP either so I only did IB until I got all the armor.
