With Glass Needles and the opportunity to reroll exotic armor, I don't see the problem in giving the same option to legendary gear. Discuss.

I'm all for reforging legendary armor but it needs to require more stuff than just motes and armor materials.

3 RepliesWithout crafting, then yes. But I would prefer the opportunity to go out and find, earn, gathering materials for custom gear. Or how about just me choose which perks/stats transfer during an infusion.

17 RepliesLet's give everyone the opportunity to go and get GOD TIER rolls on whatever they want. Believe it or not, re-rolling makes content go dry quicker. You finally get the Grasp of Malok, but it has crappy perks. Instead of playing the game to get it, you just go and re-roll it and now it's perfect. The current system, whether you like it or not, offers much more replay ability. Also, re-rolling narrows the diversity in the game. Guns will always stand out over others, but with re-rolling, everyone goes and gets a certain gun and gets a god roll on it. Then you get a post Dark Below situation where everyone is walking around with Thorn, Last Word, and Hawkmoon(on PlayStation) Definite no on re-rolling of any sort.

I'm against re-rolling. I strongly support removing RNG from Weapons/Armor instead. I thought it was stupid from the get go how gear could have randomized perks.

2 RepliesGuns too!!

Bump.

Here is how you might be able to balance it: Step one: Give your legendary weapon or armor piece to the speaker(or gunsmith or vanguard or whoever!!) Step two: (Whoever you gave it to)Tells you to go do one strike AND one crucible match. Step three: Go back to tower and pick it up. This makes it so you can eventually get good perks, and also makes you accomplish something in order to receive the re-rolled gear. Cost: 5 motes 10 Weapon parts(for weapons)/10 Armor materials(for armor) 5 strange coins 500 glimmer

Older gamers don't have all the time in the world to grind for "God Rolls". People that work full time or have families I'm sure would like this, in order to save time. Not to mention, other games are played, and this could be good for balance. I'd be for this idea.

While I think getting the god rolls I want immediately would be nice. It would make current content dry insanely fast.

2 RepliesI say re-roll that stats that really won't give people too much advantage like: Change what weapons you carry ammo for Which sub-class you get an armor boost for What happens when u pick an Orb of Light

8 Repliesadding rerolls to legendary armor would leave low level players with the best rolls and perks given for armor. Just like in Y1 with the reroll of weapons. Once you have the weapon (or in this case armor) you can just reroll it until the stats are perfect and the perks match your play style. It took me all of Y2 to find the perfect set of armor with max intellect and discipline. You shouldn't be able to get gear like that with just re rolling it over and over. Glass needles are easy as -blam!- to get and should just stay to exotics. And i understand most perks for armor is PvE oriented, but having the perfect armor set with stats and perks shouldn't take a week to get. And thats exactly what would happen.

Edited by Lord Tao: 5/19/2016 10:49:22 AMHonestly not that interested in re-rolling armor, would rather they made rares infusible
-
As long as reforging doesn't apply to weapons, I'll be happy

I think re rolling will be beneficial this year. Not because everyone can have the rolls they want, but because it's great to test out what rolls work for what weapons. Every gun has different stats so why should they have the same perks? Meaning one guns god roll may be another's crap roll. With re rolling you got to try new guns you wouldn't have otherwise used because you could put a decent roll on it and it would almost certainly give it a chance to shine. That coupled with bungie adding a ton of new perks into the reroll pool means god rolls won't be nearly as easy to get anymore. If they want to grind and burn their glimmer (especially after the nerf) on rerolls isn't that a grind in itself?

Just Armor. No gun rerolling.

6 RepliesBump for rerolling ALL legendary gear. There are other methods of balancing PVP without removing player choice of perks. Removing the ascension and rerolling systems was a very lazy way of attempting balance in a portion of the game, at the expense of the other.
-
A lot of people already instantly dismantle Legendary Armor given to them. This would just make it worse. But if transmogrification or armor skins were available, then I would accept that.
-
Not with Glass Needles, 100 Marks per re-roll and the whole weapon gets re-rolled. I have no desire to see this pick and choose catering to those who don't want to put in the time but get everything handed to them.
-
5 RepliesNo, stop needing easy mode...

We can already re-roll exotic armor, why not legendary

46 RepliesEdited by Killapatch: 5/18/2016 3:20:11 PMI agree, with how low drop rates are it would be nice to reroll. It's taken me weeks to get an eyasluna, and the roll that I got was shit. All I do is pvp and am a top player. It's kind of bullshit to see a scrub have a God roll who barely does pvp. Plus I was a huge fan of the HoW era, but just about any top tier pvp will say the same.

How about changing infusion in that you use something like double the amount of materials needed to infuse but you had the perks transferred as well but maybe were reset and had to be levelled up again.

I hope they add this.
