4 RepliesWasn't a fan of Witchers combat, so i hate to say that I'd have to side with Skyrim. However, if this was witcher vs skyrim vs souls/blood, the results would be different. [spoiler]Cant freaking wait to see what fromsoft does next now that they are done with souls. I really hope they return to armored core with everything they learned from souls/blood.[/spoiler]

I prefer base game witcher 3 to skyrim. Modded skyrim I somewhat prefer over witcher 3.

14 RepliesThis shouldn't even be a debate. The Witcher 3 has a way bigger world, more to do, more unique and interesting characters, and in my opinion, a far more interesting and personal lore. Skyrim, to its credit, is a better at letting you choose how you want to play, gameplay-wise. Witcher lets you choose how basically every quest ends, and everybody's play though will be profoundly different. And we don't need to talk about graphics.

They are both absolutely incredible games and I love playing both. I've always enjoyed the lore of Elder Scrolls much more than the Witcher's setting. I've also found myself consumed/completely immersed in Elder Scrolls games where I've had to restart Witcher games a few times before I got rolling. Again, both amazing games but Skyrim is more enjoyable for me.

Skyrim feels more.. individualistic. I mean, I like playing games where you play a specific person.. but I want it all about me. That's what I came down to for me.. Skyrim boi.

I've long said that Skyrim is really an action game with RPG elements, so it's not a great 1v1 comparison. I enjoy the hell out of Skyrim, mind you, but Witcher 3 is a vastly superior RPG, and game, really. For as open as Skyrim feels, it's actually extremely linear. There are no meaningful choices, i.e. [i]nothing[/i] that really matters.
