Instead of making an app that we can find people on, just put optional matchmaking in already!
Ok Bungie wants us to make friends and play with our friends, but makes app features to be able to find randoms to do raids, PoE & NF with. So why not put optional matchmaking in already, like it isn't going to kill the game! In fact it will take out the part of the players having to go out of the game to be able to find people to play the game with, which makes sense to me. What do you guys think? Are you for or against?
Edit: For those of you worried about matchmaking problems here are some ideas by IamJophus that would fix most of them https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/195873574?page=0&sort=0&showBanned=0&path=0 It would also add end-game content for high level raid players if they wanted it.
Edit 2: For those of you against or elitists as some would call you, I am simply asking for Optional in-game MM for the casual side of this community. Is it to much to ask for an in-game way of creating fire-teams with random people. I personal have a clan that I am apart of that I can do raids with, even with that it is still annoying to have to leave the game go to a website and ask. I just want it in-game, we should not have to use multiple apps/websites/gaming console to play one game! It's common sense!

Or they could take what they are doing with the app... And put it in game in the tower so people can join your fireteam immediantly after they got accepted.

Tryhard losers have ruined this game enough, if Bungie accomodates these children one more it will [b]REALLY[/b] piss off the PvE community. Although everyone seems quite angry already so....

8 RepliesChallenge of elders 41 prision Nightfall [b]Should have matchmaking[/b] Raids Trials [b]Should [i]not[/i][/b] Wiping endlessly due to incompetent randoms is not fun. I've seen people rush thalnok this week in CoO (leaving the sword on the floor, shooting him non-stop wondering why they aren't doing damage), if they can't get past a simple patrol mini-boss (who's mechanics are a complete repeat of crotas end) there's no way you'd finish crota, and certainly not vog or kings fall. Picture wiping over and over again because someone didn't know how to swap by totems in kings fall, or doesn't even know how too...or you being the only one killing oracles in vog... How about the Warpriest mechanics? Who's grabbing golgoroths gaze (And if you are who's dropping the bubble and shooting)? How long would you sit at the jumping puzzle before you left? By deathsisters pray the random runner knows how, pray 3 others know which plate to step on first...or to stand inside the aura... Don't get me started on oryx. Even the first encounter with the relics, how much anxiety would you handle after being the only one to grab a relic and be set back again (assuming the team even makes it past 1...) How about vog? Templar, (imagine how many people would run right out of the containment)? How many kills the gorgons would have. Think gatekeepers are easy? Wait till the portal closes behind you because no one is on it! Or no one's watching the middle spire. Or they drop/die with relic since they don't know how to use it. Atheon who knows how to clense? You do? Assume you don't get teleported...can they kill oracles in time? Do they know how to clense? Even crota, you think you can solo but they all seem to enjoy seeing the oversoul spawn. Again and again. How come your the only one shooting at it? Wipe... Also 3 people die, you figure it's a wipe right? Off the map you go. Wrong the last two players are either afk or don't know why everyone died and are trying to revive teammates on hard mode...or insist on hiding thinking your coming back in 30 seconds on your own....15 mins later they send you a message calling you a scrub because you haven't pushed X to revive yourself yet... Then there's the problem with afk's, trolls, quitters, two players being in a party who seem to insist on staring at each other teabagging the ground the entire raid... Challenge of elders, poe and nightfall a single player can carry. But for raids and arguably trials one cannot. (Unless your running crota or your name is ramblinn)

5 RepliesThis entire community is too dumb to know what optional means. Bungie and us. See, Loot Cave. Bitches bitching about other players not having to do the grinding they "had" to. I bitch about dumb shit that I realize is ridiculous and would mess up game spaces in retrospect "Yo, why isn't there a rocket-launcher sparrow?". Bungie's too dumb to know how to separate PvE from PvP, and great guns and builds have died as a result. Our ideas can be straight up horrible from "Wow, Thorn needs a buff" to, "get rid of Gjallarhorn, the bosses don't have enough health and it's boring to kill them fast!", and who can forget "LFG, VoG Hard, Must be 335 and have Sleeper, Spindle, or Gjally". Bungie refuses to have any in game grimoire or Raid LFG, let alone let you use all the different modifiers in the game for Strikes and Missions like Halo did. The Last Array with Rainbow Burn, Catapult, and Lightswitch? Uh oh. There's a Spire forming in my pants (was the Spire a dick joke first or a game element first? Hmmmm...). I have no idea who in this community got verbally abused by a pick n' mix (CRYYYING LIGHTNING... shoutout to Arctic Monkeys) as child, but you can actually let people do what they want. Wow. Oh my. HE DA DEVIL BOBBY BOUCHER, HE DA DEVIL. HE'S GONNA LET YOU HAVE YOUR CAKE AND EAT IT TOO, AGHGHGH!!! The biggest thrills I get out of Destiny is making the game do something it should be able to do and adamantly doesn't want to. "No, you can't go through the doorway. There's a rock smaller than a mouse near you!" OHHHHHH. Honestly, the negative, entitled attitudes you see on this site and DTG are a pure result of elitism from how Bungie handles gear, and the players ability to acquire weapons and armor THEY PAID FOR without having to do bizarre things like go online through your computer to find players for endgame in a -blam!-ing AAA game. If you didn't want to breed entitlement, you'd actually sell Gjallarhorn through Xur way before it gets nerfed, because we know you're liars and that you control Xur's inventory, so people get to use the weapon substantially before it's gone because it proved the boss designs were boring. But, "Xur's inventory is not random, they just know what he's going to sell!" Lololololol. You think we're salty? Look at Bungie's utter PMS when Megaman proved they were liars. Who did the liars blame? Ha, Megaman. "We don't control Xur's inventory, we just encode it now with No Lands Beyonds so you don't know we control it since then you could actually know whether or not you wanted to grind Strange Coins for what he's selling on the weekend like you've been able to until now because it's totally random." Never forget these are the incompetent bastards who fired Marty, ran a smear campaign against him and blackmailed him with Music of the Spheres because he had correctly answered a tweet stating that the trailer for E3 with the changed music wasn't a Bungie trailer, because they hadn't put the music in, Activision had. Barely anyone saw the tweet, and they had the lack of spine to go after him for it. Because unlike the rest of Bungie, apparently Marty likes the tr7th. "Play nice" yourselves, Bungie hypocrites. (I have no knowledge of specific people in the company, except that Deej wears the most dapper suits. This isn't aimed at all the people who fought through the ego-BS that nearly destroyed this game to make it: thank you for making a great game that overcomes all the people trying to destroy it for money. This is geared towards the assholes that think they're better than the community when obviously they're full O' BLAM and just as flawed, and think people whining about a game on the internet are worse than them when they've fired people and possibly displaced families just to maintain lies about a video game. THAT'S PATHETIC. To all the people that made Bungie great despite god-like hubris in your face everyday, you did amazing, and you deserve sleep. Lots of sleep you would have gotten if whoever decided to -blam!- up the story hadn't. You probably didn't even make one great game, it sounds like you made two and had to throw one out because "...I DON'T EVEN HAVE TIME TO EXPLAIN WHY...")

I totally agree. What's the point of needing a fireteam for challenge of elders when you can easily do it with 2 randoms like in level 41 poe... Bungie has made a lot of questionable decisions with this game, matchmaking being the main one.

Destiny should add a bulletin board at the tower. From there guardians can create a post for whatever specific game mode they're trying to play.

8 RepliesThe only problem with matchmaking is there is no vote to kick option. AFKers in strikes, are already making this a needed option. You imaging a raid where 3 people go afk and there is no vote to kick option ?
