The whole concept of a reverse-Suros was awesome in theory, terrible in practice.
It's one thing for a gun designed to fire at a higher rate (therefore higher base stability,) to use that base Stability for a slower firing archetype. In fact it is completely broken/beneficial to be honest.
But by doing it in reverse all you're doing is weakening the gun and forcing a player to readjust to the modified recoil pattern/intensity. It's counter-productive to the gun's design because it makes the alternative form much less consistent, even with increased Stability it's intense to handle that recoil when you're "in the zone" for the medium archetype's typical recoil pattern. It just throws you off.
Because in that moment it gets noticably harder and you're required to make spur-of-the-moment adjustments, which with SUROS you don't get. In fact aiming gets easier and you're forced to use your thumbskill even less because it kicks like you're shooting blanks.
Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way: I loved this gun a bit at launch, but after the meta developed I quickly abandoned this tool. Even Ace of Spades is a fairer choice in PvP, and it's a bloody Hand Cannon with phantom bullets. I just don't get it.
Please, just make this gun a Doctrine archetype and give it three random normal perks by replacing the Fabian Strategy unique perk with Counterbalance. Make it something useful for Titans to deploy with as opposed to the standardized Doctrine/Soulstealer's Claw nonsense. Us Titans would love your for it, and finally enjoy our Class Exclusive Exotic for once. Even if it's just a glorified Legendary like Ace of Spades, it'd be fun.
Anybody opposed? (Only Titans should bother answering, Hunter and Warlock plebs can suck it, this change doesn't matter to them except if they're going to pull the OP card, which would be silly.)

Edited by Ve7n00m: 5/18/2016 10:32:42 AMGiven Fabien Stratergies description, which reads 'Wait for enemy to make a mistake. Die. Stand by for Ghost Resurrection. Repeat as necessary', when you die with it equipped there should be a chance of you being resurected by your Ghost with buffed movement speed, handeling etc etc for a set number of seconds. Only a chance though, it might be a little OP if it was a Guaranteed Ghost revival upon death!

3 RepliesI don't main a Titan but I've played one enough to agree something needs to change with the Fabian Strategy ( and the Immobius too for that matter). Titans got hosed on their class specific weapons. Am I still a pleb for responding? ;)

1 ReplyThe weapon class exclusives are a stupid idea. Just let people use whatever weapons they want with whatever class. It's fine to separate builds for artwork but there isn't a benefit to limit variety in weapon use. If I want my warlock to use a hand cannon and sniper rifle then so be it. Shouldn't be forced to use a PR and fusion rifle...

I never see the Fabians strategy in the crucible anymore they need to do something to it definitely

I haven't even bothered to get to 3 in gunsmith due to the gun sucking. If I had more stability and the perks would actually work than I would waste my time getting the gun.
-
I second this!

Get rid of this cryptic "Archetyp" Bullcrap all together! The amounts of Brainfarts Bungo is producing are enormous imo.

14 RepliesEdited by bobswerski: 5/13/2016 3:20:02 PMSo basically you're just asking them to give every Titan a free god-roll doctrine? Sounds legit. If you like, we can go ahead and mod the Immobius into a Y1 Felwinters too. In all seriousness, though, that's honestly a really lazy solution. The answer should never be to make more weapons that are just like the current top dog of the meta. It should be to make other weapons compelling to use. Why not just make every AR the same archetype? Heck, lets just turn all the primaries into high RoF AR's and get it over with. Variety is for idiots anyway, right?

2 RepliesWe have it all wrong. Fabian's strategy was staying at home, watching Netflix, and letting his gun collect dust in the vault. We are all carrying on his legacy.

Boost the stability give it a deep ass mag and give it a nifty Titan oriented ability. But yeah otherwise this thing is the most disappointing exotic out there.
-
Dude this would make Titans gunsmith good

2 Repliesstupid perk just replace with something along the lines of, "crouching gives damage resistance" makes sense for the shield mounted on the front of the gun
-
1 ReplyLol make it do more damage the closer you are to enemies.

Edited by CarnivalLaw: 5/13/2016 8:01:40 PMBump. I so want that gun to be great, and it's not even good right now. Edit: Titan first. Titan forever.

As someone who has all three class weapons. Fabian strategy is just bad, their is absolutely no incentive to use it. This and many other exotics need a buff
