A sunbreaker can throw at least 5 hammers, but could be up to 7. A stormcaller lasts forever and can shred 7-10 opponents easily (oh, and is nearly impossible to run away from unless you're already on the other side of the map). And a golden gun gets 3 bullets. Why?
Why shouldn't the golden gun last the entire duration of the super, or alternatively, not have a time limit if limited to 3 shots?

Play mayhem clash amd you'll see why gunslinger doesnt have more shots. Its an instand 3 kills from almost any where in the map.

1 ReplyGol-den-Gun 1. 2. 3. Seems legit
-
You can realistically nail six people with. 3-4 shots. I've done it before.
-
Because sunbreakers are garbage, and can't kill with one throw.
-
1 ReplyBecause gg shuts down any super in the game it's almost counter proof if your good enough with it and keep your distance from shotgun rushers and scrubs who hard scope door ways.
-
Roaming super with 3 Insta-kills. That's why
-
4 RepliesGolden gun can 1-2 shot yellow bar enemies, sunbreakers and stormcallers can waste 75% of their super to down that same add.
-
i agree but you can get 4 for pvp its balanced but it needs a pve buff deals less than snipers

As a hunter who runs golden gun in crucible almost strictly, it is balanced. The only thing I could see being changed is combustion being given a larger blast radius. But even then, it'd just be a plus. It also has the ability to one shot any roaming super, destroy a bubble and everyone in it(with combustion on), and really, it's pretty easy to use once you realize you don't have an armor boost and can't just bust up in the room Hammers are much more difficult to use than just a point-and-throw deal. They have a travel time and an arc. Stormcallers, while annoying, are alright. They have a TTK in their super and aren't too difficult to counter.
Especially if you run Gunslinger :]
Edited by Impurity41: 5/12/2016 1:43:10 AMYou can miss with hammers. You have to seriously suck to miss with GG. If you're near enemies (unless they kill you since you get zero damage reduction [which I'm fine with]) then you will get guaranteed kills.

With their three-bullet Super, Gunslingers are still one of the most powerful Crucible classes in play. Even in the early days of the new classes, when everyone was trying them and Sunbreaker still dominated, I remember dying regularly to Golden Gunfire. Four is fine with an exotic. Five would be OP. Six (a revolver's nominal capacity) would be insane.

3 body shot sniper rounds with a lot more aim assist than the supposed "aims for you thousand yard stare). That can explode and chain to others

A stormcaller lasts forever and can shred 7-10 opponents easily
Yeah, if literally the entire opponent team's batteries died and they were grouped together and respawned nearby after death...
-
Yea buddy? Show me a stormcaller getting more than 7 kills thats bullshit. They can get 3-4 average. Hammers take time to fly across the sky, they have an arc, they move slow. Golden gun? You basically have a sniper that 1 shot bodys anything instantly.
-
3 RepliesI'd assume because golden gun is the easiest and most powerful in pvp terms. While sunbreakers can kill that many and do have additional armour their hammers have travel time and are somewhat easy to avoid at ranges. Stormcaller has a limited range (granted its pretty long but still) and has to move around to get kills, it will also loose to a majority of other supers due to its low damage per tick when compared to others. Golden gun on the other hand is essentially the easiest sniper to use in the game, with 3 shots its highly unlikely you wont get 3 kills, you can take out any super with a single shot and essentially have an instant win button when it comes to gunfights.
-
4 RepliesGolden gun is instant death. Hammers have a trajectory so it's not as simple as point and shoot. Stormcaller have to be up close to kill. If a thing deserves a 4th shot, it's quiver
-
2 RepliesBecause Golden Gun can instantly kill any other super apart from the Ward of Dawn?
-
4 RepliesBecause 4 is too many and 2 isn't enough. After the initial animation GG is an instant kill that can't be dodged. Either you hit or miss, and the aim assist is.... Generous. It is in a good place right now. Don't mess with it.
-
3 RepliesBecause it's the easiest super to use in PvP, I could literally give the controller to at cat and it could get a kill lol
-
Because it's easier to aim for a quick kill at a distance. Stormcallers and blade dancers can net more kills more easily with their super, but they have to be close to get them. Similar idea with sunbreakers due to travel time with the hammers. If it's too far away people can walk in a direction and dodge them.
-
You can 1 shot across the map with no bullet travel time...
-
4 RepliesBecause Shin Malphur killed Dredgen Yor with the first golden gun ever and guess how many shots he used... That's right 3
-
The problem is GG's extended timer perk is dumb and needs rework.
-
1) hammers are slower than golden gun bullets 2) storm caller is not impossible to run away from not my fault you don't understand mobility in this game 3) storm caller has shorter range than golden gun or hammers
-
Use bladedancer. Nova bomb-one shot. Sunsinger-lots of grenades Striker-one slam Defender-bubble Point is all the classes are pretty balanced. Each has subclasses with different abilities and durations.
