[b]As he enters the aerospace it comes into view. Its massive and red, holding two separate chambers with a thin connector in the center. It hums with energy and mass, taking a large portion of the nearby rock field. It sits dormant, but thousands of lights are on and other vehicles, likely guards, circle it endlessly.[/b]

[i]Oh -blam!- me[/i] Limbo begins scanning the ship, searching for some way in

[b]His scanners come up with static, clearly a hammer blocking his tools. The ship lets out a loud hum and a side panel slide open close to the port side. Something slowly comes through on his comms. It's static, but it signals that someone or something is trying to communicate.[/b]

Limbo flys towards the opening, flying in, and trying to listen closer to the voice

And chilling.[/b] [i]"Got you."[/i] [b]Suddenly, thousands of red lights turn on, followed by heavy gunfire. A trap. Thousands of drones riddle the hull of his ship with bullets. They are small and not strong enough to do sustained damage in such a short burst, by it wouldn't be long till his ship's status went critical. He would have to react fast.[/b]

Limbo grits his teeth and shouts "Activate reserve shields! Activate EMP burst!" The EMP blast takes out the drones, but also disables Limbos ship Limbo scrambles to pull on an oxygen mask, and he reboots his ship, which will take a couple seconds

[b]Suddenly the voice cuts out, replaced with a gruff metallic grating one.[/b] [i]"Hey asshole! You got my item?"[/i]

Limbo plays along "Yes I do." He breathes a sigh of relief

[i]"Mmhmm. That's what they last few idiots have been saying. Wrong answer."[/i] [b]Suddenly, the room fills with pressure as the back corner latches disengage. Suddenly, Limbo and his ship are thrown back out into space, the door sealing behind him. Ejected into the darkness, the cruiser hums once more.[/b]

Limbo activates the thrusters, halting his movement, he attempts to hail the ship "Hey, where can I find this item?!"

[i]"God dammit! Boss! He's still on the comms...! Yeah... I'll tell him."[/i] [b]Te voice coming through is crackling with the poor connection.[/b] [i]"Sorry, we don't know. That's for you to figure out, and us to pay you for."[/i] [b]Suddenly, two mass turrets rise from the cruisers side panel, aiming at Limbo's ship, clearly a sign to be on his way.[/b]

"Well at least point me in the right direction? Like what the item in question is exactly!" Limbo had his hand on the switch to put all power to shields, just in case they fired

It's a small black pyramid that hums. That's all you need to know. Now you got eight days and a half to find."[/i] [b]The bot cuts communications, the guns still poised and ready to fire. Clearly, these thugs were assholes... And not very helpful.[/b]

Limbo flies away "FAI, search all internet data for the words, black, pyramid, and humming, hopefully we can get a rough location of the object." His onboard AI obliged, searching all available data for the object

[b]Clipart of black pyramids and other strange things pop up, but nothing seemingly related to the Pirates. It seemed that whoever had the device really wanted to keep it hidden.[/b]

[b]Suddenly, something bursts through his comms. It's the bot again.[/b] [i]"Hey! Piss off permanently! Seems someone beat you to it! Come back when we have more work!"[/i] [b]The voice cuts off once again, leaving Limbo to the silence of space.[/b]
