Am I missing something? There are no INT/DIS/STR stats associated with these. Why would you handicap yourself? Besides that they are also ugly.
Edit: Thanks for the answers. Infusion adds the stats and they are NOT necessarily the same as the item being consumed.
Update: I got the FWC Spektar Helmet with INT/DIS (my favourite combo) and the chroma looks absolutely awesome.

Inspect it. You have to infuse it but it's there.
-
6 RepliesStep one. Use the old guard shader. Step two. Get blue chroma for all armor Step three. use the electric sparrow you could (still can from nf or things like that) and go to the moon Step four. Enjoy it because you look like freaking Tron.
-
They get stats when you infuse it.
-
The stats go up as you infuse it with items to increase its light level just like regular gear. Only, it shows 0 because the defense is so low at 3 when it comes to you. FYI, just upgraded my Spektar boots to 311 with some spare infusion fodder and it now has 48 int / 50 str

1 ReplyI think it gives a futuristic look again. And the titan specktar armor looks iron man like with red chroma.
-
I believe the stats are already on there, just have to inspect

"OK team, down there in that grotto there are hundreds of Hive. We have the element of surprise so let's load up and sneakily flank them from that gulley." "Hang on, I gotta turn on my super luminescent, brightly colored, neon armor accents..."
-
I like shiny things
-
If you examine the chroma armor, it'll tell you what stats the armor piece will give you.
-
7 RepliesI think spektar and the desolate armor is incredibly stupid, sure it's customization, which is what some of us has wanted for a while....but if you want to wear an exotic, you have 4 peices of taken armor....and a price of regular looking armor sticking out...should've just made it a shader instead of this shitty armor peices, or added vanity slots.
-
Because they want to be ready for the rave update
-
Examine the armor to see the perks. that'll tell you what stats it is.
-
Because if you're a warlock you want to have that awesome chest piece or if you're a titan you feel like looking like a character from tron or halo and if you're a hunter well you just wear it because you're cold.
-
I equipped a piece that was exactly the same perks and stats as my old piece only with more light, i put in some chroma and now im happy with how my character looks for the first time since HoW

8 RepliesWith the Spetkar and Desolate armour they all have INT/DISP/STR built in, and you can see the combination you'll get, but the values don't get added until it's infused. With the armour I've infused so far, even when I've got INT/DISP like I want, all my KF armour has higher values. Not sure if that's my bad luck, or if this armour intentionally has lower values to stop you reaching Tier 5

3 RepliesGot dead orbit boots that have chroma.
-
3 RepliesSpektar gear for hunters and titans looks amazing. For warlocks it's kind of meh, but I have full desolate gear for each class as well so my warlock just runs around in that looking taken
-
Just so you know, if you inspect the chroma armor before you infuse, you can see what perks it will have.
-
5 RepliesAnyone gotten the spektar pandion set yet? I've got chest and arms. Seems to only drop from crucible packages.
-
2 RepliesThe hunter spekter gear with the chroma looks amazing
-
1 ReplyI think the spektar armor is atrocious, I saw the screenshots and was on the fence about it at first but I got the helmet and chest piece in two sterling boxes and instantly disliked them. I think the chroma idea is pretty neat though, the white compliments my revenant shader nicely.
-
6 RepliesI got tired of seeing nipple clamps on my warlock
-
It's awesome. I hate the raid gear.
-
2 RepliesI'm giving it a miss. I get shot enough in the crucible wearing grey and black armour - dressing up like colour-blind gay Christmas tree is not going to do my kd any good at all.
-
Does the Raid gear use Chroma now, or is it still bland?
-
Spektar full set and the shimmer shader on my hunter is beast :) actually it works with a lot of shaders
