Engrams...
I have 50 exotic legendary engrams and 20 legendary engrams to decode for the update, should I do it tomorrow or wait? I'm hearing that it won't drop 335 gear right away... Help?

Exotic drops higher stuff, legendaries didnt... I had about 80 saved

Got a 320 Truth and a 319 Monte Carlo. My previous highest-light-weapons were a 312 Ghelon's Demise and a 319 Quillium's Terminus

If you turn them in today, they will be up +4 of your current light. This may be anecdotal, but that's what I'm seeing from the exotic engrams and I just hit 321 just by cashing in maybe 10 so far. Still 30+ to go. Legendaries so far have been 300-305, but are supposed to cap at 310.

Decode one at a time and equip the higher light gear item.

8 RepliesIt's unlikely it'll drop at new light levels, but the truth is no one knows for sure. At the very least, you'll rank up the cryptarch a few times and get new stuff that way. I'd say turn in legendaries first. Check their level as they decode. If you see anything drop over 300 light, then they are dropping new light levels. If that's the case, hold the rest until you can do the nightfall, raid, etc to level up as much as possible. Then turn them in one at a time. Exotics after tomorrow are guaranteed to drop at light levels higher than your current total. So if you decrypt an exotic at 320, it'll drop at 321+.

Wait until the patch goes live. There's nothing you currently don't have that you can't wait a day for. Even if the Exotics don't decrypt into new ones or at a higher light - you'll get more rep from decryption (when the patch goes live).

325 is the maximum lvl I've dropped so far Even with my character at 323 light

You have nothing to lose and everything to gain by waiting. At worst, your Cryptarch package will have a chance for new stuff if you wait.
