What do you think? A lot of friends I've been playing with lately have been complaining about Lightning grenades. But the common thing between them is that they rarely play a Titan in Crucible. Now I think most frequent Titan players will say that Lightning Grenades require some level of skill (through experience) to place in a position of lethality. But that's coming from a Titan main. So please take that with a pinch of salt.
Edit: I guess people have interpreted this as a nerf call, which is definitely not the case. I was simply confused that some people think Lightning grenades need to be addressed and so I thought I would ask the community.

Let's just say they are pretty much the best thing in the Arsenal for strikers And they are probably the easiest to counter
-
Let's just say the blast radius can be a bit... Extreme.
-
Let's just not use the phrase OP for at least another week. Stormcaller just barely got nerfed...
-
4 RepliesThey aren't. Why? Because those bastards have a mind of their own. I've thrown them at walls, only to have them wedge themselves at ridiculous angles that couldn't hit anything.
-
A pain in the ass, yes... Op, no.lol
-
You can immediately shoot it off a wall, floor, etc. Definitely not OP. Specially if you mess up a toss and get it to fire of in an awkward direction.
-
Reach is long, width is narrow. High damage per shock, but can easily run in between shocks. Needs to be placed correctly. Can be destroyed with gunfire. Lasts a respectable amount of time. Aftershocks talent adds one more shock. First shock can hurt yourself. They're pretty good but certainly not OP
-
1 ReplyNo you're just bad.
-
There is "some" skill with placement but it doesn't take a genius. Yes, 1 tick and knock off your shields, but with all the shadesteps, blinks, and twilight jet packs out there, you can get out of it and recover decently. I run max discipline and armermentarium on my striker. My favorite build.

They aren't op but I know how to use them
-
http://youtu.be/ur9kAPHO7ys They're not OP if you're as bad as placing them as me :(
-
Being able to Combo two is very annoying. It's not OP, but its almost there.
-
OP if opponents are dumb
-
No. They are okey and mostly balanced

1 ReplyEdited by jareids: 4/9/2016 1:09:06 AMAbsolutely my favorite grenade. Gives amazing territory control. I'll use the mini map to see people coming around corners, and throw it on the wall as a trap. Works almost every time and then suddenly they're at a massive disadvantage with half health. Max discipline plus armamentarium plus aftershock, I think I get close to half my kills from those grenades lol. You definitely have to learn how to use them though. I did nonsense like this multiple times during iron banner. Twice in this game actually: http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/Jareids/video/16437883
-
Omg pls stop this nonsense
-
OP? No. Their range is a bit infuriating tho lol
-
The luck I have i threw one and it glitches in the wall a flat wall where I've throw it to cover the same spot as I have multiple times and it angled straight down. I

1 ReplyHonestly while they do last a long time and are very powerful, it's pretty easy to avoid their blast. I usually only get kills off the first blasts or two; by that point everyone has figured out the timing. Another huge issue with them is they're hard to make go the direction you want. Mine always end up at some random angle and misses the target. :/

1 ReplyThey're not op but they are broken. They have to make it so somehow you see the true range on them. You think youre out of the range but somehow you're still in the same area code and it kills you.
-
They're strong af but they aren't op

3 RepliesThe other two grenades are so underwhelming that you are rendering an ability useless. The flash grenade doesn't kill and has to be on top of the character to affectively work. The pulse grenade is easily noticeable and dodgable and does almost half as much a lightning grenade can do....
-
Love dropping them in busy defender bubbles and running off.

1 ReplyEdited by PaulEBluebird: 4/9/2016 12:32:05 AMEvery time I lob one it lands facing in the most pointless direction yet someone can throw one randomly and it'll land perfectly just close enough for me to jump away and still get zapped by the second pulse! I can throw it at a flat surface and it'll go wrong! Damn things just don't work for me!

2 RepliesEdited by TrulyDontCare: 4/8/2016 11:22:29 PMI didn't vote. I find them to be more annoying than any other grenade, but that doesn't mean they're OP. They just seem to go on and on and on and on and on. When you're in a battle, it feels like it takes a whole -blam!-ing minute sometimes. I often find myself jumping at a live one because I think it finally died off.
