30 RepliesI would take that expiration with a grain of salt.

3 RepliesWhen the salt reaches 10010 years old it turns in to drugs

1 ReplyExpiration dates aren't anything to take seriously. Honey has an expiration date, and it'll last forever if you don't store it in a wet place.

legal requirement.

Salts degrade after being exposed to air for so long.

5 RepliesThe pink kind? Tasty stuff. Salt doesn't really expire, but if it gets wet it will. Do keep it somewhere dry. And who knows if it's just salt in there, other stuff will probably go bad like impurities or additives. I really don't know.

5 RepliesEdited by Currrrtis Blow: 4/5/2016 12:01:12 PMAs an employee in the food manufacturing business, it's for lot-tracking purposes as mandated by the FDA In case we need to issue a recall for a product, that's the way we track what product was packaged when and where it goes. Or, if the salt company sends shitty salt to my plant I can tell them which batch was bad and get a refund.

22 RepliesHahaha nice

I believe it's mandatory to have it by the USDA.

1 ReplyWhy do they sterilize needles before lethal injections? Save a dollar and reuse that shit.
-
Probably because they want you to buy more.
-
2 RepliesWater bottles have an expiry date too, bit it's for the bottle not the water inside
-
Because they added some "preservative" to it and that expires.
idfk
-
3 RepliesNo food expires. It just gains flavor.
-
So idiots know when to buy more.
