Anybody who is saying the Division flopped doesn't have the Division..
Either that or you have no idea what flopped means. I feel like it's the same idiots who said Destiny was a flop lmao.
The lore in the Division is extremely prevalent. AngryJoe didn't even mildly look into it if he was saying there's no memorable characters. Aaron Keener, the rogue agent? [spoiler]Gordon Amherst, the guy who made and killed himself with the virus?[/spoiler]
Joe Ferro? The leader of the cleaners? That guy was similar to Hitler when it came to his speeches' characteristics.
There's so many characters in that game with discoverable back stories, echoes and cutscenes.
Why was it a 'flop'? Because you didn't like it? They already have your money though..

7 RepliesI think it's a flop in terms of it being kind of bare bones right now(where is the end game content?where is the competitive PvP?)but once updates and dlc's come out..this game will be great.

3 RepliesOkay, now explain away the repetitive side mission structure, the terribly done Rogue system, the myriad of bugs and glitches that were so obvious you'd have to have been a blind man playing the game not to notice them, the uninspired Challenge Mode that just throws bullet sponge and excessive damage dealing enemies at you, the lack of any real fun mechanics outside of the Bliss encounter, the barren PvE world, and the fairly lackluster skill system that requires playing through the tedious side missions to even unlock.

There are commercial flops and critical flops. The Transformers movies make insane money and are commercial successes. They are always panned by critics and are generally mediocre at best so are aren't critically held in any regard. The Division has sold very well and is being player by lots of people However the game is very much lacking in diversity and gets very dull very quickly.

I think the one problem with it is how hard some of the things can be for a single player. I know there is matchmakimg but some people prefer the solo approach.

exactly I think Joe's point discoverables it's not their..decent game overall but nothing astounding...now If they made a witcher mmo that would be insane..they should make a witcher mmo

I agree. There is a very strong story in the division with plenty to discover in the phones and intel collectibles too. The characters are memorable too and i look forward to getting a pop at keener. Loved his echo left at the endgame. Cant wait for the updates to come too with incursions etc. Have the season pass so good things to come. Plus ubisoft take literally hours or a day to patch something rather than a month like destiny. The new update will bring me back alongside the division and i will make time for both as they are both awesome games. As much as people will always say they're leaving destiny, there will always be a secret love there. I for one will play both and love both, with me as the winner for having two awesome games to play with buddies.

1 ReplyOk let's not fool ourselves, the vast majority of people will not remember any characters from the division. Nor does it have much depth, from a gameplay perspective, and the combat is repetitive at best. The only reason im playing it - and I dont see it having much longetivity - is because it's new and destiny currently is worse.

Divisions flopped? HA. More than what destiny can be. See when I played divisions I had fun. If I load up destiny I will just think about ways on how I can put it away and forget about it. But sadly I cant

Its deffinitely not a flop, because it sold big and everyones playing it. But its a shell of a game compared to what i thought it would be. Boring 'story' campaign. And broken endgame. That said, it looks amazing and has the foundations of a great game. And yesterdays patch seems to have made the dz more interesting. Still needs balancing in other areas but good start. Other than that it needs more to do. I will buy the dlc pass though based on what ive played so far. Theres a great game in there somewhere, its just not revealed itself yet. You basically have strikes with 3 difficultys and dz 'extraction'. Thats it. Needs more content.
