Iron Banner Rift > Iron Banner Clash
You know, when they announced Iron Banner Rift last month, i was among the horde that decried the idea as a horrible horrible plan.. but at the end of the week, I really felt that it was pretty fun...
This time, Iron Banner Clash, I had some good expectations..was looking forward to it.. but so far Iron Banner Clash just is not fun..
I think that Iron Banner really needs to be an objective-based game mode.. Control, Rift, and Zone Control should be the choices..
What are people's feelings about IB Clash?
Edit - for a little context.. I DO Like Clash normally in Crucible, but in IB, people are just not playing the same as a normal Crucible Clash game, and these games are just not fun.. Also, I mostly play solo..

Yeah clash turns into a camp fest, hiding with snipers. I actually liked rift more

4 RepliesI like IB clash more than any other IB mode. But honestly I'd like them to create an entire new game mode just for IB. I don't know what or how but I wish it was it's own unique mode like trials.

2 RepliesI know its hard for Bungie to spawn people in Clash, they have mentioned this, its different in rift and control. But I did a match solo on Vertigo, join the match part way through, got spawn sniped 3 times at the beginning. Some one camping the other side of the map. It stopped cuz a teammate finally offed the guy.

Sniper camping in the same spot even after you died? Bitch, I know you there. You ain't smart. And why are there 320 people in Iron Banner? You're already the highest light level, the rewards wont help you. leave us lower levels alone to fight it out. Jeez... And that's pretty much it. Control felt better. Defenders and Strikers could actually be useful.

For someone that mostly plays IB solo, Rift was absolutely awful. I like Clash more than control but most of all I would like a 6v6 elimination IB, with max fireteam of 2.

Agreed. IB needs to be an objective gametype. As you said, Control, Rift, or Zone Control would be way better.

1 ReplyI'm loving clash. Rift had so many one sided matches. So many losing streaks. Then winning streaks. Clash feels more competitive. Games go down to the wire. It's fun. I'm not really seeing the crazy amounts of sniping. If I do I counter with sniping or flanking. It's a non issue to me. But I respect your opinion. Rift was not as bad as expected. I'll agree there.

I like all 3 modes. I usually play in a full fireteam which makes them infinitely more enjoyable.
