Going to make this brief because this would be my third post, and the others have trended and mostly everyone agreed.
[b]Fix the hammers' proximity[/b]. It received 3 wrongful nerfs that causes it to explode fast which makes the hammer do next to no damage when you directly hit a blinking hunter/warlock, shade step hunter, ionic blink, and just about anything in the air.
[b]Flame seeker[/b]: Buff this back please, it barely tracked before and now it literally doesn't even track making this a useless perk.
[b]Thermal vent[/b]: Not a lot of you might notice this because you don't play sun breaker as much as me but when you hit someone with melee it somethings doesn't do full damage because it pushes the opponent away. I think this is more a melee problem too because it happens on stroke the forge as well as the other one but not as much. But please look into this.
[u]I don't want my armour back, nor my cauterize or explosive pire. But what I do what is consistency in the sun breakers[/u]

Let me address some suggestions some of you are going to say:[/i]
[b]Use suncharge[/b]: I do use sun charge [b]but this is not an excuse to not fix a bugged subclass[/b]. I want to throw my hammers at people more than I do smack them with it (Though it's more fun). Besides it takes more [b]super energy[/b] than a computer downloading "Adult movies"
[b]Use simmering flames[/b], Krishna, because I love it: Well, you know what? Sun breakers aren't a neutral game subclass like sun singers or night stalkers and they are not a super based subclass, which is sad (But it is what it is). So what's the -blam!-ing point of using a SUPER based subclass with no real strong neutral game if the super is bugged? The answer is no reason what so ever
[b]Screw you, blade dancer need a buff[/b]: Yeah I agree ya wanker, both of the subclasses need a fix to their supers because of poor hit detection. But hammer of sol needs it more than the blade dancers right now. Do you see any hammer of sol users in competitive? Hell, no. Do you see blade dancers in competitive even though the subclass super's hit detection is garbage? Yes, You know why? Because their neutral game is absolutely beautiful right now. But either way, yes, they both need to be fixed. Priority wise, it's the hammer of sol.

[b]It's like a better golden gun[/b]: Theoretically, yes but that's not reality. First of all, Hammers are bugged, unlike the golden gun. Since the golden gun has really high aim assist and laser accuracy it gets 3 shots while hammers require precision and direct aiming but that comes with more chances for you to kill people. In that regard both are different. But since the hammers are bugged and explode too fast, that consistency goes away which sucks for us hammer titans. Tracking doesn't work anymore either, it just doesn't, and you can go test that for yourself in PvE.
[b]Play a striker or defender, you twat, stop complaining:[/b] So what, we shouldn't get our third subclass fixed? We shouldn't be able to have a proper consistent roaming super? Off course I play strikers and defender, it's the only subclass that works "as intended". I wouldn't touch this subclass, for fun, carries or even sweats because of how frustrating it is to play with.

If you agree please bump as it will help tremendously to fix both supers hopefully. If you disagree, write out what you are thinking and say it, chances are I am going to rebuttal. If it's already addressed exactly the same way in the post, please don't say it.[/b]

[b]EDIT: Keep telling Cozmo till he answers guys, this is our chance, Really thank you guys, from the bottom of my heart. As you probably know Sun Breaker is my favorite super from the moment it was announced till now, The thought of a roaming super to a Titan main like me was pretty hype and when I first used this in the crucible I went unbroken and we ran out of medals (No joke, but no cauterize either). I agreed it was OP but this nerf killed it. It's time for hammers to get a reality check and use fire born to rise again from the ashes (Yes, I really said that :) [/b][/i]

Id also like to point out, sunbreaker really needs a buff in pve, i can only take down one fully healthed yellow enemy in pve now when running suncharge..

Let's look at the fact that you have to 100% expose yourself in mid air to use shadow shot in a sniping meta. Let's look at blade dancers auto targeting fails. Lets look into hunters becoming UNDETECTABLE in invisibility even to the naked eye in a sniping meta. Let's look at the controlling grenades of warlocks. I agree, let's look into sunbreakers, but let's look at all of these things.

I think sunbreakers could get maybe a small agility buff too. I get domed (Sniped) alot when I'm using it. I think it's partly cause sniping is too easy in Destiny

You wrote in my opinion a good post. I agree with the tracking and had to laugh. The tracking was always awful and I never understood why people would say it was good. I think Bungie reduced the class too much and I have noticed that they're aren't as many Titan characters as I remember. The class needs to be reevaluated and balanced better.

3 RepliesThe Sunbreaker used to have a phenomenal super game but limited neutral game. I think there is where it needs a buff. Ideas: -Sunspots maybe apply on hit, not just kill. -Sunspots grant overshield temporarily, not just while in Sunspot -Thermite grenade leaves a dot if you've been damaged -Get rid of Flameseeker. Replace with a different perk that helps neutral game. A lot of perks already boost super game as it is.

6 Replies1. I think sunbreaker needs the changes mentioned above. 2. I think golden gun needs SOME type of armor increase even if just a little. The animation is too long and you have zero armor and just die immediately and it doesn't last long enough. 3. Titan slam is too strong. I nova bombed a striker as its slamming and it didn't kill nor did my vortex kill it. It's just too strong. 4. Sunsinger melee needs a small dmg. Nerf as it often one shots at melee range is just weird. Maybe it's fine I don't know. 5. Bladedancers are relatively balanced. 6. Nightstalker is relatively balanced but it would be nice if another class could shade step. Shade step is soooooooooo OP. But as a class it's balanced. 7. Defender is balanced but melee is bit under powered. 8. Warlock lighting super seems too long. I have died twice before from one super in skirmish matches. While I realize the solution is to let your revive timer run its course, some teammates will revive you and both die.
