If God/Gods exist, they just made the world a better place.
EDIT: I'm no longer responding to comments regarding this issue. The people on this site are so far-right and hypocritical, that it's mind numbing.

Tsk tsk. You grasp at ideas you barely understand then when you are swamped in discussion you can't hold your head up.
-
A sad sad day indeed, the world lost a brilliant person!

3 RepliesRegardless of what you think about his rulings, the point of a Supreme Court judge is to rule on what is and is not constitutional. Don't confuse the job with that of the job of congress.
-
2 RepliesWhat because he thinks being gay is wrong? Yeah he deserved to die. Dirty liberal. Despicable.
-
21 RepliesYour happy someone died because you don't agree with them? Hahahahahahahahahaha you're what's wrong with this country.

6 RepliesEdited by Masque of Night: 2/16/2016 2:21:52 AMI disagree with his stance on homosexuality, but I won't rejoice at the knowledge that someone has passed. I only hope he as at peace, as I would wish for anyone. Even if we don't see eye to eye, he was human just as I. And as he is, one day I shall be, so may we both slumber peacefully.

The people on this site are so far-right
But most people here are American, so surely that goes with the territory! Lol

Yo I'm liberal and all but it's just sick to celebrate someone's death like this
-
You sound so tolerant.

That's a shame; he was a relatively good man who fought for what was right, something few people have the balls to do nowadays.
-
Oh yea lets just stereotype all Texans
-
I wouldn't say "Good riddance." But at least another Homophobic is out. That's about the only good thing about this entire topic.
-
While I do mourn the loss of the man I do not mourn the loss of his ideology.

1 ReplyHe was the most conservative justice on the court, for him to die under a democrat president... Its going to change alot of those 5 to 4 decisions. Its likly going to be the biggest supreme court nominee fight in history. Republicans will probably try to dly it till after the election, in hopes a republican wins and they can get one of their guys in. 9 months+ without a fully functional supreme court may not be a viable strategy though.

With the legal suit against the couple that refused to bake the gay wedding cake, I'm infuriated over this. We lost someone that could actually bring a stop to this utter bullshit.

1 ReplyI disliked the majority of his opinions but he was one of the few people to claim that video games should be protected under the First Amendment. I think he was, generally speaking, a hateful scumbag but that does not diminish the fact that he went to bat for gamers back in the day.
Video games qualify for First Amendment protection. Like protected books, plays, and movies, they communicate ideas through familiar literary devices and features distinctive to the medium. And “the basic principles of freedom of speech . . . do not vary” with a new and different communication medium. Joseph Burstyn, Inc. v. Wilson, 343 U. S. 495, 503
